3.0 out of 5 stars Fair, but needs work, September 15, 2003
By A Customer
This text is not for the practicing OPracle person, and it reads like a College textbook.

The examples are clear, but the text is somewhat terse and non-illustrative. It might be a fine book for a High School class, but ois wanting for the working Oracle person.

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding Oracle developer book, March 14, 2006
Palinski makes it clear that he is a seasoned developer and I really liked this book. It explains Oracle developer issues in plain English with loads of illusttative examples.

Forms builder is a complited product and this book was great help to me.

1.0 out of 5 stars Please, someone, write another Oracle book, September 20, 2005
This book was required for a class I am taking, and I can't think of another reason to buy it. If you have a strong background in similar forms development platforms, you may be able to get enough out of this book to work with Oracle. But if you are completely new, this is not the book for you. The author brings in way, way too much extraneous detail, and the examples are complex and unrealistic. Some exercises require you to use tools & concepts not introduced until later chapters.

This book has more information about Oracle forms - in one place and usable - than I have found during many years of heavy forms use. Read more
