I got this book for research on a paper. I had not expected to learn so much about divination in other cultures as well as the one on which I was particularly interested, but I am so glad I found this book. I hope it gets reprinted.

This book has sections describing divination theory and techniques of a variety of peoples/cultures. The Norse section, by Hilda Ellis Davidson, is the best I've seen in print to date. Not New Age! A "must have" for the serious scholar; I sincerely hope that Shambhala goes to another printing!
