This review is from: Orajel Maximum Strength Toothache Pain Relief Swabs-12.00oz (Health and Beauty)
I developed a toothache while I was out-of-town for a few days. In desperation, I bought a pack of these Orajel Swabs hoping they might mediate the pain even a little. I was surprised (and quite relieved) that they really worked. The shaft of each q-tip is filled with something similar to the stuff that the dentist rubs on your gums before giving you a novacaine shot. It numbs the surface quickly and easily which would help with any sores in your mouth. To get it into a toothache you have to be a little more aggressive and sometimes even break off both ends of the q-tip so you can pour the liquid directly on the spot that hurts.
You probably wouldn't want to use use it for a prolonged period of time, but in an emergency these can really make the difference until you can get to a dentist. I keep a pack in my car now. |
