Like many other people, I got only 1 when I was supposed to get 12. I complained and got some generic email in return telling me to return it. Uh. I don't think so. I then called their customer service department. I told the lady how it was completely wrong for them to send only 1 and to charge my credit card the full amount of $24.99. She was very nice and apologized.
People here is the deal. They try to get you to buy the 12 before it is in stock. I waited 6 weeks before I received the one pack. Then their supplier stops selling these to them. To try to cover Amazon's mistake, they send you 1 and thinking that you may not notice; charge your credit card for the full amount. I will never purchase anything else from Amazon that they don't have in stock. This was a huge mistake on their part.

So the end of the story goes like this. The very nice lady said she would refund my CC and she told me to keep the 1 pack. I haven't seen a refund as of yet. BAD AMAZON!
Not a good way to conduct business. A very good way to lose customers.

I ordered what I thought were 12 rolls of floss. I received 1. That said, it is high quality floss. When I contacted [...], they handled the problem very quickly (on Christmas Eve, even)--I salute their customer service.

I found this floss very frustrating to use. It kept slipping out of my fingers and it was impossible to get a good grip on it. We normally use Crest Glide but for some reason my husband just bought Oral-b Satin instead. It is much harder to use than Glide and I did not feel like it cleaned as well either, even though it took twice as long! I'll stick with Crest Glide.

I ordered this 12-pack (600 meters total of dental floss), but received only one package (50 meters). When I ordered, I read a customer comment that said this might be a problem. That customer was right. It's a bit of a hassle to return and replace such a small item. That old customer comment is no longer available, but the underlying problem with ordering 12-packs of floss seems to have been going on for quite some time.

I'm a big proponent of the new "strip" based tape dental flosses, and am primarily a user of Crest's Glide floss. I saw Oral-B's alternative in the store one day, and decided to give it a try.

I am not impressed at all. First, the dispensing mechanism seems to prevent more than an inch of tape from being taken at any one time; the spindle that it's located on somehow gets stuck easily. Second, the dental floss tape itself has a terrible feeling of hard plastic, and it not only is incapable of cleaning your teeth well, but is also uncomfortable to use. Crest Glide by comparison is soft and pliable yet strong enough to clean your teeth. Third, the minty aftertaste was very mild and almost non-existent.

If I wanted to clean my teeth with plastic strings, I could just go to my local party store and buy some of the ribbons for cheaper.

I was happy to see this after I ran out of my last pack.
This is my favorite floss. It gets into those really
tight spots.

I was sad to see that my $25 purchase of a 12-pack was shipped
to me as just one pack. Seems this is a recurring problem.

They say they have shipped a new one (12-pack, I hope), which
is pretty fast. But I have to ship back the one package or they will
charge my credit card for it. I can't find a price for one, and don't
know if they get me for shipping, so maybe I'll send it back as
cheaply as I can. Sigh.

Update 1. They sent me another one. Another 1!

So then they said forget it, we can do it. So I sent both
back.

Eventually I asked. They said they didn't have it.

Then, they said they'd send maybe another, but eventually
did credit me.

So, it worked out, but they obviously have some problems with
this problem, which is too bad.

It is too slippery and you can't get a grip on the floss. It doesn't get the plaque off either. It simply doesn't work. I would never buy this floss again.

am like most folks--I hate to floss. Interestingly, there are medical reports that periodontal disease is linked to a host of other systemic diseases like heart disease. As one researcher I spoke to put it "Floss--or die!"

Well, I still don't like to floss, but Oral-B Satintape is comfortable and effective. The wide strand fits between tight teeth. It is wide enough to grab and clean there. It is comfortable on the hands and on the gums. I tend to use it, which is better than any floss that sits in the drawer. The mint flavor acts as a mini-mouthwash, and of course removing plaque goes a long way to keeping your breath smelling sweet.

Some people don't like the teflon-style floss because it is slick. It's not like the old fashioned floss that grabbed by the roughness of the thread. This slips through the spaces of your teeth, but to remove particles, drag it along the surfaces to pick up and remove plaque.

My dentist gave me a sample of this (which I keep in the purse for those moments with poppyseeds) and I keep a steady supply on hand at home. If you don't like to floss but you realize you should, try this floss.

Come on people, stop rating shipping and sellers here, rate the product. This is the best floss I have tried. Others break too easily. I could fish with this stuff. Try it and prove me wrong.
