I too received just ONE pack instead of six. I read the reviews and thought to myself, "they can't be stupid enough to repeat that now that several folks have had this happen and even wrote reviews about it." I used to think amazon.com how great customer service. I can't really say that anymore after this. How dumb do you have to be to keep making the same error, especially when there are multiple reviews on here describing the error? F-ing ridiculous. Hopefully I'll get the refund, but that still won't fix the fact that I still need floss. Six of these things would have lasted awhile. That would have been great. I'd have that floss thing taken care of.

Oh yes, and concerning the quality of the item - it's the best floss there is. And for some reason all of my local stores have either stopped carrying it or are always out of it, which is why I've resorted to ordering it online.

I've used the Oral B Ultra Floss for years, but have noticed it's not being stocked in the stores where I live. I found this item on Amazon and thought it was a good deal and I could stock up on it (takes a while to go through 6 packs of dental floss). When I placed the order I hadn't read the reviews. Hindsight being 20/20 I should have. Not only did I receive only a singleton the first time, but the replacement sent by Amazon was a singleton as well. After contacting customer service (via email, since I couldn't find a number to talk to a real person) all I got was that this problem was larger than they thought (I'll say) and that I need to return the item for a refund. Negative well done on Amazon's part for not correcting this problem when it first surfaced (which based on the previous reviews was some time ago). Things happen but this was a matter of poor performance on Amazon's part.

I bought this a couple of days ago, and I got the full 6 pack.

I believe this fluffy floss is more useful than regular ones, since it gets narrow where needed and expands when there is more space between teeth.
Early reviewers stated they got just a single item instead of 6-pack. I believe it was fixed since didn't have such a problem. I've got my huge 6-pack for 20 bucks and gonna be satisfied for at least a year now. This lot is quite a find - I've never seen 55-yard Ultra Floss in shops and even 27-yard one can be unavailable for weeks.

The availability of this floss has totally dried up locally. Although the price was a little higher, buying in quantity will keep me supplied for quite a while. Thank you amazon and AmericaRx!

What's wrong with your "most helpful" algorithm, Amazon?

I, along with the most recent 33 reviewers, (2010 onward) all received the full 6-pack. Yet two ancient reviews (2005 and 06) which complain of an "ordered 6, only got 1" problem are still listed as "most helpful". Why scare away customers due to a six year old shopping cart glitch long-since fixed?

Regarding the product itself, it's the best floss I've ever used: more shred-resistant than Glide, yet with a lot more friction due to its unique woven construction. And note that these are 50-meter packages, double that of the 25-meter retail size. For me, that works out to about half the price compared to my local supermarket.

Now that Glide has been re-branded from Crest to Oral-B, they no longer mention Ultra Floss on the Oral-B web site. I'm worried this product is about to be dropped -- time to stock up?

I've used this floss for years, and suddenly Wal-Mart doesn't carry it anymore. I've been trying to substitute Glide floss, but it's so slippery I can't keep it wrapped around my fingers, it cuts into my skin, and it doesn't feel as if it removes anything from between my teeth, so here I am at Amazon.com, what would I do without you? Oral B Ultra Floss is easy to use, and I can feel it cleaning. Please don't stop making it!

Best floss I've ever used, but not the cheapest. I think better than Glide and various other flosses. Like other reviewers, I can't find the large size so I ordered it from Amazon around August 2005 but only got a *single* unit and not the *six* that was advertised. I didn't look at the reviews from at least as far back as January 2004 that said other customers also had this problem :-(. Amazon eventually fixed it, but there was the hassle factor involved. I am trying it again after reading a recent review that Amazon has fixed this problem.

Best dental floss available. I bought a pack of 6x55 yards. Each container is twice as big as is typically available at local stores.

Just FYI for anyone thinking about ordering this: a lot of the negative reviews seem to be about Amazon shipping the wrong product six years ago, rather the product itself. (It looks like Amazon doesn't even ship this product themselves any more.)

I ordered from AmericanWholesale (through Amazon site) in early 2011, and received exactly the product described here: six of the large (55-yard) packages, in their retail packaging.

The Ultra Floss itself is a fine product, if a little bit pricy for what's basically thread. I like the Ultra Floss because I've never had it fray or split while I'm flossing. (Something about my teeth seems to cause that problem with other flosses.) This floss appears "puffy" and thick right out of the box, but tightens into a nice, thin thread as you put tension on it.
