Oral-B Ultra Floss is a bird of a different feather. Rather than being strands of floss, like all the others, it is a woven product that actually scrubs gently at food, plaque and residue on the teeth and under the gums. My dentist actually coos, when he cleans my teeth, that I have the healthiest gums of any of his patients (OK, I eat extremely well, but I swear by this floss as well--I give it as a stocking stuffer over the holidays and people first laugh then thank me after trying it). The floss is measured in just the right amount (17") with the cut-off marker being plain blue strands of floss between lengths of fiber. Used daily or just a few times a week, this floss always makes your mouth feel dentist-chair clean, improving the look of your teeth and your breath. this floss is gentle on your gums and really gets stuff out of your teeth. unlike tape-style floss, this is rounded and soft and does not cut your gums

I've been a glide user for years, and I could never use waxed dental floss or it'd wind up looking like the Texas Chainsaw Massacre in my mouth. This stuff does the best job of any dental floss I've ever used, it's the most comfortable dental floss I've ever used, and I wish I had found it years ago and not suffered through using the Glide ribbon style floss.

Oral-B Ultra Floss is the best. But shipping charges eat you alive when you buy it here.

I love this floss. Other reviewers point out that it might not be ok for really tight teeth, so there's a little caveat emptor, granted, but man, I love this stuff. It's a woven strand that's actually kind of "fluffy", and you pull it tight to get it to go between your teeth. The multi-strands stick to plaque and whatever else there is to extract. I love flossing with this stuff, and I hate flossing.

If you're not sure it will work for you, just try one pack, pass it along to someone else if it doesn't work for your teeth. You really don't want to miss out on how awesome this is.

The check ups speak for themselves. Started using Ultra Floss about 5 years ago. Usually had a cavity at every check up. Once I started using Ultra Floss, I haven't had one since. It made all the difference. Hard to find in the stores anymore. Am having to order online.
I'm amazed it isn't more popular, as it's an outstanding product.

This is fluffled floss, much thicker than even standard floss. The idea is that when you pull it, it tightens and gets thinner. The reality is that it constantly gets stuck in between tight teeth, in my case my back molars. Even the old trick knotting the floss to try to get out the stuck bits wouldn't work. I bought Oral-B Satinfloss Dental Floss, Mint 55 yards to get out the stuck bits of the Ultra Floss and in the process discovered my new favorite floss.

I used to floss with glide floss because I have very, very tight spaces between my teeth. At my last dentist appointment, my dentist warned me that I was showing decay between my teeth. This shocked me because I floss at least once a day, usually twice.

He told me that flossing with glide is like trying to clean your counters with wax paper. It's better than nothing, but doesn't get plaque. He recommended this floss as the "scouring pad" of flosses.

Now, every other floss I've tried (including a generic version of this one) snaps in two between my teeth or won't get into the creases or does get in, but then breaks leaving an annoying tuft of floss between my teeth. I didn't think this would work any better...

But it does! I've been using it for a week now and it hasn't broken once. It gets food out really well, and my mouth feels cleaner, so it must be doing something right. Let's hope that, between this and the new fluoride rinse I'm using, I don't get any cavities!

i love this floss, especially with all the dental work i've had, but it's hard to find in stores. thanks, amazon, for having 'little' things like this that are big deals for your customers!

Ultra Floss *is* what you are probably looking for, it is a fibrous mesh of loose-fitting synthetic fibers that ends up creating a thicker surface area to drag between your teeth and keep everything clean.

All of that is fine and it works great IF you do not have tight teeth.

If you have tight teeth, what happens is you tear up the synthetic fibers as you try and saw the string between your teeth and break the floss string; probably requiring you to pull another from the container and then floss stuck fibers out from between your teeth.

If you have notoriously close teeth and are used to sawing your way through normal floss, don't get this. It won't work for you.

If you have slightly less-close-together teeth and don't recall needing to always saw floss inbetween them when flossing, then this floss is exactly what you were looking for, enjoy!
