We like every song that she ever made and have all the CDs and DVDs, so this was a pleasure to watch and in my opinion anything from Shakira is much better than anything else outthere. So I cannot be objective. Seeing two of her concerts last year - I think that the transfer to DVD was very very good.
I want to take a moment and list only the negatives.
The dissapointment for us and for anybody else that attended the December 6 concert - we were told before the show that the concert would be recorded and turned into a DVD. This is the December 9 concert.
The extras are mixed, a bad reportage about the tour of the world and a good one on Barranquila and Fundacion Piez Descalzos. The video clips are poor quality, nothing spectacular. The DVD has no subtitles and no lyrics are available - something that her previous ones had. The CD only has 6 of the songs from the concert. The DVD insert has very small fonts - impossible to read unless you use a loupe - I uploaded a picture.

Shakira fans already know they want this disc. Blu-ray Disc collectors can rest assured that this BD offers REFERENCE qualitiy 1080p video (appears to be 24p) that pushes the envelope of visible detail that can be captures in 1920 x 1080 pixels. There is both a 5.1 and 2.0 PCM 24-bit/48 kHz lossless soundtrack and a conventional Dolby 5.1 (640 kbps) soundtrack. The 5.1 PCM soundtrack cannot be beat. Incredible.

Shakira does it again with her Oral Fixation tour. To date, it is estimated that more then 2 million people watched this concert live (wow). Indeed, this DVD shows you why she is internationally famous.

01Estoy Aqui--Simply the best performance of Estoy Aqui. The music is pleasing to those who don't speak Spanish.

02 Te Dejo Madrid--A favorite in Spain--this performance is one exiting show. Pay special attention to the electric guitars at the beginning.

03 Don't Bother-This peformance is great.

04-Antologia---Will simply make you feel as though you are in the air EVEN if you don't speak the language. It is very sweet, sad, and her voice sets the stage for a melancolic atmoshere. AND she does it well. The music is soft here---yet this is perhaps one of the most memorable performances of the DVD.

05--Hey You--Simply watch and enjoy

08-La Tortura---If you love reggaeton you will love this. Watch those hips shake.

09--No--Simply a breath taking performance. Watch that dress turn into a flower before your very eyes. It's simply one of the best stunts of Shakira.

10--Whenever Wherever---remember the music video. Well this is WAYYYY BETTER. Enjoy!!!!!

15-Ojos Asi--Simply a great belly dancing performance. Spanish not required to enjoy.

16-Hips Don't Lie---her hips really don't lie. The best dancing, belly dancing you will ever see on stage.

In the hills of Leon, Spain, my friends from Peru told me about Shakira before she had reached Europe. The first Shakira: MTV Unplugged [Region 2] was already quite special and gave me a few valued hours.

Yet this concert tops it. Significantly. It's superb. The registration is superior. Blu-ray high-definition allows for tremendous picture quality. And if you watch it on a Philips Aurea tv (with ambilight effects), the result is an absolutely stunning experience.

Music-wise, this is the best tv experience I have had. Ever. If this is a flavor of what future concert blu-rays can become like... I can hardly wait. Meanwhile, if you want to experience the power of high-definition, this is a tremendous disc.

Shakira is one of the biggest stars around, the Oral Fixation Tour while not the flashiest of concerts, focused on Shakira's music and unique stage presence. Some have complained that the show was not flashy enough, not enough lights and props, yet we are constantly bombarded with pop tart concerts filled with sound effects and dancers that take away or rather distract the audience from the music or lack there of. Shakira as a real artist is able to showcase her range and talent throughout the DVD. With few costume changes and an intimate setting Shakira was able to connect with the crowd and show viewers what she is really made of.

She seamlessly transitions from pop star, to rocker, to nostalgic romantic to hipshaker throughout the DVD. The added documentaries are a nice touch and allow Shakira to explain to fans old and new the meaning and reason behind her foundation Pies Descalzos.

Having attended two shows one in Barcelona and the one shown on the dvd in Miami, I can say that Shakira's performance like her music get better and better as she matures. She delivers a great performance that showcases her voice and dancing abilities, while she demonstrates that she does not need a group of dancers or an ornate stage to shine, Shakira shines on her own. Also dont forget to watch the documentary on the Piez Descalzos Foundation, it shows one of the many ways Shakira tries to help out her nation.

When i attended the Shakira concert in Madison Square Garden just last year, i was left with this excitement and urge to have more. The same could be said about this amazing live concert footage from none other then Shakira. Shakira has this quality that no other globally known pop star possesses and to better understand who Shakira is, you might just have to experience Shakira at her finest, live in concert. No other artist can own a stage without having to have high-cost productions and over-the-top dancing-coreography other then Shakira. Shakira owns the stage by herself without having to rely on "distractions" to make up for the lack of artistry. It's clear from the very begining (INTRO-ESTOY AQUI) that you are in for a true artistic treat. The concert is absolutely a marvel to the ears. In ESTOY AQUI, Shakira manages to cross-breed a beautiful mix of modern contemporary sounds with infused mystical sounding arabic instrumentation. Another memorable moment in this concert was within the song "TE DEJO MADRID." The performance was oustanding and the visual excitement was Shakira herself on stage beautifully managing to posses this confidence and sensuality behind a backdrop of illuminating lights, bright piercing orange hues. Older shakira classics where my favs including (ANTOLOGIA, DONDE ESTAN LOS LADRONES,ETC) How can I not mention the outstanding collaborations with Wyclef and Alejandro Sanz. Hips don't lie was definately the crowd pleaser, both visually and for some musically, as it was just that year that Hips dont lie was in its Prime. La Tortura was amazing as well. Nothing wrong could be said about the performance all together.

Bonus Features: I think her previous DVD (LIVE & OFF THE RECORD) did capture a better feel for DIARY-ESQUE look behind Shakira's life, however this dvd did let us have a peek into Shakira's world, mainly with her overlooked and often, never-mentioned, Humanitarian work. It was interesting to know that Shakira had started her humanitarian effort ever since she was 18, way before her global popularity, and way before being a ARTIST-HUMANITARIAN, was the "IT/PUBLIC RELATIONS" thing to do in Hollywood. The AROUND THE WORLD documentary was more like a DVD PROMO since it almost felt like they started the project and left it as is. Around the world doesnt mean 3 countries, what about Europe? What about Latin America? It was nice but it was definately sad to know that it was only 5 minutes.

Overal: 5/5 Perfection. If hot sexy singer and their dancers sliming around half naked on stage is your thing or if your more into hearing playback and fakeness, then this dvd is definately not for you! However, if you want to witness a true talent-singer-writer-PERFORMER who is deserving and growing globally in fame, this is the concert DVD you have been looking for. Its no lie, her hips dont lie. I dont lie, its a great DVD, must for any Shakira fan or anyone looking for a CHANGE.

I saw the amazing Shakira in Madison Square Garden in NYC with my grown son. We loved her from the start. She bridges the Spanish and English speaking worlds... When she performs live she gives her all...running and dancing across the stage! She performs like it's her last performance each time! What a dynamo! And what a voice! And what a cutie! SHAKIRA IS A GIFT TO THE WORLD! And a great song writer!

This woman just gets better with time. She is still so strong lyrically, vocally and musically, and she puts on a show better than she ever did. She wipes the floor with all her other pop contemporaries, who are miles behind her gorgeous dance moves, her poetic lyrics, and her powerful voice. And on top of all this, she is an incredible entertainer and performer! Watch Antología and try not to cry. I recommend this DVD not just to Shakira fans (who, sadly, are the only ones buying it) but to anyone who wants to see a great show.

This show captures the beauty and talent of a young woman destined for greatness, I became a Shakira fan solely by accident, I mean I never thought I would gravitate to her style, when she released "Laundry Service" I liked her, thought she was different, but it ended there. Then "La totura" came out, I did not care that it was Spanish I found the song and video captivating. My intrest grew when she finally released "Oral Fixation" I knew that I had been missing out on something great. Bought the album loved it, bought the Spanish version of it, I loved it even more (I don't speak a word of Spanish but that album made me a Shakira fan) Needless to say I have collected all her work to date.

Now getting back to this concert, a steller performance, Shakira's image is a lot more simple and earthy this time then her previous concert (also amazing), I loved it. Her voice is soooooo incredible, I never thought much of belly dancing until I saw Shakira do it, NO ONE DOES IT BETTER, an amazing band, amazing choreography and for the most Shakira dances alone on stage and I am used to seeing my favourite stars perform with a troop of dancers. This time around I did not care, her presence shone throughout the concert, her beautiful smile, humble personality, she is sexy but sweet, she transforms in and out of a sex Goddess to a charming sweet character.

I bought all her other CD's simply because I wanted to own those Spanish songs I never heard before. She is clearly loved and of course Miami where the show was recorded, is the capital of Latin beauties. So the audience would drown her out singing back to her and she does not even have to insist for it, she is clearly loved, I love it when an audience loves a star like that.

The show has amazing moments starting off with "Estoi Aqui" the audience goes wild, her intro to "Whenever wherever" amazing. She glides through the stage almost effortlessly she makes it seem so easy. This woman writes her own music (Spanish and English), plays instruments, an amazing dancer and is a beauty to look at. The full package, an amazing show a must see.
