For those with an understanding of modern mental health therapy approaches and psychological testing/examinations this is a great parody. It helps those in the helping arts take themselves a little less seriously. Hilarious and insightful from beginning to end!

I barely understood most of the jargon. What I do know is, psychiatrists often don't know what the hell they are talking about, and this book from an admitted psychiatrist is brave enough to admit it and lampoon the science of the mind as underdeveloped and shooting in the dark when it comes to diagnosis. The book is hilarious, covering childhood(reports suggest that most adults have experienced it), how to psychoanalyze the dead, and the parking habits of neurotics.

Some years ago, I had read excerpts from this book and enjoyed the humor. I was happy to find this book available after all these years. The book is slightly worn, but a fun read.

I got this as a Christmas gift for my nephew, who is a psychiatrist. He found it highly entertaining and wanted to know where I had found it.
