Most artists in Lex Land's genre ("singer songwriter" or "pop folk") don't even come close to cutting into you and communicating directly with you the way Lex's lyrics and voice do. If this is how she writes at 21, imagine the wisdom she will spill forth in the next ten years. Give yourself the gift of this album.

She is one of the few and rare artists who performs great on stage. Take away the editing and what you of most artists is just a bad singer. I have to say I really enjoyed Lex's live performance in Hollywood last night. All of her songs are about relationships and most are depressing; I would encourage her to take up a happy tune and maybe even practice the French a little, but other then that, it was worth seeing her live.

I'm not really a reviewer, but this CD is beautiful and a stunning debut. What a voice, Lex reminds me of Fiona Apple. You won't regret getting this CD. I bought the MP3 download. Radio needs to give this record a spin. AAA+++

After hearing a song on TV show Private Practice, I liked it so much, I went online to the show's music guide and tracked it down to this artist and this album. After reading the informative review by the other reviewer here, I went to Lex's website and listened to the whole album and then purchased it. Her lyrics are very good; distinctive voice. Just nice songs. Very well done for a 21 year old writer.
