I'm really glad I got this!
I was looking for a case that would just protect my MacBook Pro 13" from scratches while in my bag, and it needed to open at the top. This case is perfect for those two things. I love that it's reversible. My only complaint thus far is that the flap doesn't stay down, so it tends to just kind of poke out.

Big for MacBook Air
Although the description says that it is made for the 13" MacBook Air, it is very loose around it. I am guessing that it would be a better fit for the 13" MacBook than for the MacBook Air. However, it does offer protection from scratches while in my backpack with spiral notebooks.
