About the Author
James Carter is a primary teacher with an MA in Children's Literature. He regularly gives readings and performances in schools, libraries, bookshops and festivals, often with his very own electric guitar. His first book for Walker was Cars, Stars and Electric Guitars and his poems have been included in over fifty children's anthologies. He lives in Oxfordshire. Graham Denton is a widely published children's poet, whose work has featured in over 30 publications. As an anthologist, his collections include 'Silly Superstitions' (Macmillan Children's Books), the CLPE poetry award short-listed 'Giving You the 'Willies' (Delightfully Devilish Verse and Much, Much Worse!)' (Hands Up Books), 'Wild! Rhymes that Roar' (Macmillan Children's Books) and 'My Cat is in Love with the Goldfish' (A&C Black), forthcoming in 2010. Graham lives in East Yorkshire with his wife and two children.
