Legendary players highlighted the time: Lewis Castle, the first of Syracuseís thirty-two All-Americans; Vic Hanson, the only player enshrined in both the College Football and Naismith Memorial Basketball Halls of Fame; and Wilmeth Sidat-Singh, the first African American to play at Syracuse.
