I bought this at ACE hardware and brought it home for the kids. It produces a very fine mist and doesn't hog water like a sprinkler. I was going to use it for an outdoor birthday party refresher. You'll have to move it around as it does tend to have water pool around it within a few minutes.
The birds LOVE it for two things: 1) its refreshing as a birdbath 2) it keeps the cats away.
It isn't family heirloom quality, but it is easy to use and works within seconds of turning water on.

I have previously looked and researched homebuilt mister systems for our partially shaded concrete patio. Just a few weeks back I purchased the Orbit 30060 Arizona Outdoor Misting System Basic 3/8-Inch Cooling Set thru Amazon. I like it, but back to the portable mister... I was in the big orange hw store this afternoon and they had the exact portable mister sold here for under Eight Bucks. I grabbed one for testing and have since tried it on our 96° afternoon. Placed it near the dog and I and it performed as the other mister, steady non sloppy fine mist. Not much of a coverage area obviously with the (2) misters and with a little breeze less so.

Pyrex measuring cup shows 60 secs uses ¾ cup or 6 fl oz water or 2.8125 US gallons per hour. Being in a conservation state I was reluctant to leave it on for 5mins but after I checked the consumption I now feel confident enough for the green eco friendly environmentalist water nazis.

Set it beside your lawn chair and lie in 100 degree heat ni comfort! That is what it is designed for. We put a splitter on the hose and run several. Keeps you cool in the worst heat.

Bought this to keep my chickens cool in the hot weather. Found that we all appreciate using it when the temperature rises. Cools effectively without soaking us. Attractive and functional design. I like it a lot. Highly recommended.

This mister comes up to the height of our 4 year old. We got it to keep the kids cool at a family BBQ. There are two little nozzles at the end which can be adjusted to increase or decrease the mist, but don't expect a large mist. It is probably sufficient to keep a handful of preschoolers busy. I like it better than using a sprinkler b/c you're not going to get completely soaked and won't need a change of clothes for the kids. This item cost me about 7 bucks at Home Depot. For that, it was worth the price.

Just got hot enough to use and it was wonderful. I don't like to sit out in the sun very long because it gets to hot. But now I can enjoy being out in a very lite mist that keeps me very comfortable. I love it!

This is a great product. Cheap and easy to use. The only bad thing is we have kids and they love to play with it. They immediately unscrewed and lost one of the mister fittings but we found replacements at Ace Hardware and now are banned from touching the brass fittings. I also wish it were a little taller so the mist falls better but you can't beat this option for the price. We usually use it when we're sitting anyway so it works fine.

Product was shipped and arrived in one piece not broken. Replacement to an older version I had. Would recommend this for someone that has to be in the sun and wants to cool down

Great product. minimal water usage and summer relief for my 16 month old daughter with this child friendly mister. also works good on pool deck when sun is beating down. Definately recommend.
