Plastic deteriorates in the sun. The little plastic Y's last you a year at best and are less than half this price.

Well here's an eye-opener to all you 5-star reviewers who reviewed this after one year or less: The levers and the thread ring are still plastic on this one. So this one lasts two years... big deal! First to go will be the valve levers. They break and then you can use pliers for a couple of times before the rest crumbles away.

Most of us who use this type of device leave the hoses in place and this makes it so we don't have to walk back to the faucet so often... so it WILL be in the sun.

Get the Gilmour... a buck more... Brass valve knobs.

Shut-off valve broke in my hand under normal use. Water spraying everywhere. This is after about 4 months of use: plumbing should last longer.

I've never had this happen before with one of these things, but I screwed a hose onto one of the connectors, and then went to unscrew it, and the whole screw section came off the connector, and the little bearing fell out. Piece of junk, but too cheap to bother returning.

I've used my Orbit Brass Hose Y with Shut-off for just over a month now and I am very pleased. The quality is good and I've had no leaks or any other problems. I looked at my local big box stores and could find no "Hose Y's" of similar quality. I bought another one of these Orbit's today from Amazon to give to my parents. I'd recommend this product to a friend.

I wanted to have two sources for hoses for my double decker deck. This worked great.

I really think I've been treating this thing like a piece of fine china and within a couple months its leaking so much I've got water in the basement. Not a good buy. Look for something with less plastic as the other reviewers have suggested.

We got two seasons of use out of it after the plastic knob broke off most likely due to UV. Don't bother with anything that has plastic, go with all brass

I purchased 2 of these, and I'm very satisfied with them. The price was fair and the items exactly as described. They've been a blessing,I'm able to water where I want without a lot of unnecessary moving of hoses.

Excellent "y" connector. The very best I've ever seen. Quality item and was shipped quickly. Save your money and buy this one. Actually you don't have to save your money because it is less expensive than most of other metal "y"s.

Broke after occasional use. Takes some thumb strength to turn those little levers. Leaked early, and broke at the threaded connection soon thereafter.
