Great multi-functional stroller,
We've had our daughter in Orbit since Day 1. It has been a great product overall.
The infant system is fantastic and a very thoughtful product and we instantly fell in love with it. The stroller took a little longer to win our heart. Pros: - Just like the infant system, the stroller seat is very well built, a super solid product. - It's big and roomy so the kid can grow with it. A previous review said the seat was not deep enough that's simply not true. Unless your kid is well over the growth percentile you have nothing to worry about. Do keep them buckled up at all time though because it IS roomy. - It's great for everyday stroll. It maneuvers quite well on gravel paths and grass too. - It's got this big space between the rare frame and the back of the stroller seat. We put a large IKEA bag there and it's excellent for grocery shopping. Over the past year, we've been putting 25+lb grocery on the stroller while the girl's sitting in it, no problem yet. For urban dweller who walks everywhere, this is truly a multi-functional stroller. - Love love love the big retractable sun shade. It's almost like a tent. We keep it down when our daughter is napping in the stroller. - The weather pack is excellent. It's well made, fits well, keeps the kid dry even in stormy weather. Cons: - It's rather bulky and heavy for traveling. We keep an umbrella stroller in the car for traveling. - Wish there's a mechanism that lift the kids' legs up when they are napping at reclined position. - It's pricey.

I was very skeptical at first but now LOVE it,
By I have to say that this stroller seat is overall well designed but does have a few flaws that I would change. Here is a list of it's pros and cons. CONS: 1) The foot rest could have been better designed. Other strollers I've looked at had an adjustable foot rest to extend when baby is sleeping in reclined position. This one does not. Feet dangle, but it hasn't bothered my 8 month old yet, though I imagine he might mind it when he's bigger and his feet are longer. Not THAT big of a deal, but something to consider. 2) The swivel mechanism on this seat is a two-handed action, unlike the infant seat that could swivel pulling only one of the levers. Not a huge deal but would have been nice to be able to swivel it one-handed. 3) It would have been wonderful to have a snack tray attached to the safety bar instead of having to buy one to add on. 4) The straps can get easily tangled. 5) When folded, the stroller is on the larger side but as compact as it probably can get. PROS: 1) The fact that all the wonderful features of the orbit base are still there make this worth getting. The steering is excellent (one handed), the cup holders, the retractable bag on the bottom make it a good reason to extend the life of the system by buying the stroller seat. I looked at a bunch of other strollers for comparison, including Maclarens (Triumph, Quest, Techno XT) Peg Peregos (SI and Aria), and the Bugaboo bee, and I whole-heartedly felt like the Orbit had a better end product than all the rest. 2) The sun shade is beyond wonderful. It offers an almost 100% sun protection and fully shields my son. 3) The swivel mechanism comes in handy more than I expected. I don't think I was quite ready to have my son not facing me, so it's been nice to be able to have him look out to the world or to me when he needs a little more comforting. 4) At first, the huge space between the stroller seat and the handles bothered me. I felt like it was just empty space when the seat was upright, but boy was I wrong!! It has proven to almost be the best feature of this stroller since it allows me to put our rather large diaper in the space without causing the stroller to topple over when I take my son out (it used to sometimes do that when my diaper bag was rather heavy and I had it hanging by the handles.) 5) The reclining mechanism has impressed me immensely. At first I was hesitant about the clip for the recline, since I had seen some Maclaren models have a three stage recline with a lever and I wanted the Orbit to have it too. But after actually using the stroller seat I've realized that having the clip with the adjustable straps have made it SO easy to recline the seat to whatever angle is comfortable for my son without being constrained by only three positions. My son also loves to sit very upright, and with all the other strollers I put him in he always tried to lean forward since at it's most upright it still was too far back. But with the Orbit seat, I can cinch it to it's tightest and my son is sitting very upright and doesn't feel the need to lean forward. So basically this means he has back support at all times which is wonderful. 6) The seat is very roomy and the material is wonderfully breathable and my son seems very comfortable in it at all times. 7) The seat comes standard with a rain guard and mosquito net. I know no other system that offers those things standard.

Beyond expectations!,
We have used the Orbit since day one with our toddler who is now almost 2 years old and it has served us so well! Our child is pretty small for age, so we were able to stick with the infant system for a long time, but we recently switched to the toddler seat which we have loved... prompting us to lay down this review now.
At the beginning, we certainly spent a good amount of time looking at the various infant stroller options, trying them out at the store, and talking with friends who had used different systems (Bugaboo, Graco, PegPerego, Quinny, Phil and Ted's, etc). Eventually, we decided on the Orbit and it really exceeded all our expectations. We chose it largely for the convenience of the integrated car seat/stroller seat function of the infant system and it certainly lived up to billing in this regard. It is soooo easy to pop the seat back and forth from the car base to the stroller base. This saved us countless times from waking up our napping baby. And for tired parents with little free time as it is, this feature really helped us feel like we could get of the house and go to have lunch or dinner with some friends without having to worry about disrupting the napping schedule too much. And the stroller seat height and the ability to rotate the seat 360 degrees on its base also make it really easy to pull right up to a table to join mom and dad for a meal. Now that we've moved on to the toddler size, we use the stroller base with the toddler stroller seat and keep a separate permanent toddler car seat in the car. While we no longer get the super convenience of the infant system where the car seat doubles as the stroller seat, this arrangement still works out great. It's no different than any other stroller system where you have a toddler car seat and a separate stroller. But in this case, the stroller is super plush and solidly built. The toddler sits at a higher height than most other strollers and our little one seems to enjoy it very much -- she has a better view of her surroundings at this height. We also have a little umbrella stroller for portability and when we use that one, she never seems as interested in the things passing by. As for the nuts and bolts, everything seems really well-built and the materials have all held up really well to almost 2 years of wear and tear and multiple machine washings of the covers. The stroller base is totally stable -- I think it has a pretty long wheel base and good wheels which help make for smooth rides. For a heavier-duty stroller, it is quite easy to set up and fold back down. In and out of the car trunk takes just a few seconds. And one more thing -- we were really pleased to find out that the fabrics used on the seats are Oeko-Tex 100 certified, meaning they have been tested for a bunch of chemicals/substances to make sure there's nothing harmful. Our child has sensitive skin, so it's nice to know that this company has their attention on these kinds of things (and she's never had a problem in her seats). I know there's a bunch of choices out there, but we definitely feel like the Orbit has performed beyond our expectations and has been worth every penny. It's really a fantastic product with a lot of innovative and practical features that you can't find in the other strollers out there. 2115|R22OJA62OIIP9Q;2115|R3D8LGUUTGQV9P;2115|R23P94JGMX5RAE;
