Not necessary,
By HLL (Los Angeles, CA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Orbit Baby Stroller Travel Bag, Black (Baby Product)
I do not think this product is necessary. Perhaps if you are traveling internationally but I just dont think I needed to buy this. We used it the first time we flew and it wasn't too hard to set up. My husband was there so I could hold the baby while he put the stroller in the orbit travel bag and the car seat in a car seat bag we bought. But when I had to travel alone I just didnt know how I was going to do it. The travel bag does not have a easy handle or rollers so it's not easy to get through the airport alone with the stroller, diaper bag, etc. Once you get down the jetway, you could ideally leave the baby in the car seat while you fold up the stroller and put it in the bag but there doesnt seem to be a lot of room and/or time to do that. Once you get the stroller packed, you have to pick your baby up out of the car seat and then you dont have any hands to get the car seat in a protective bag. I felt like if I wasn't able to protect her car seat (where she actually sits) from damage/germs, then what is the point of protecting the stroller base. It just seemed like more work than it was worth so I didn't do it the next time I flew alone. I've flown about 10 times since then and I haven't had any trouble with damage to my stroller without the travel bag. Perhaps if I were going international that would be different but i just dont think this is a necessary product. It is well made, however, and if you do have an extra set of hands, not too hard to set up.

Durable stroller bag,
Sturdy and well-padded stroller bag for the Orbit Baby stroller. The one problem is that it does not hold both the stroller base and the infant carrier, so I ended up having to use the airline-issued plastic cover for the infant carrier and gate-checked that separately. This defeated the whole purpose of buying this bag in the first place; I was hoping for an all-in-one bag that would fit the stroller and either the infant carrier or the stroller seat combo so that I only had to haul one bag for all my Orbit equipment. It was a bit pricey, but since it will hold the stroller seat, we will be able to use it for a few more years.
