Yes, buy it. For me, it was a replacement for one of about a dozen controllers I use at my place. This is the greatest. Why didn't someone come up with this
notion of remote control for checking sprinklers before? It works. Buy it. I also bought the next larger size which is 12 stations. These two controllers are in a closet

3.0 out of 5 stars Orbit Watermaster 91926 6-Station Sprinkler System Timer with Remote Control
I purchased the Orbit 91926 timer last July to replace the Hunter 8-station (only 6 used) timer installed by Pulte on my 1 year old house. The Hunter timer worked well until a nearby lightning strike zapped it. The Orbit 91926 was an easy install except for the push-in connector block. Yes, buy it. For me, it was a replacement for one of about a dozen controllers I use at my place. This is the greatest. Why didn't someone come up with this
notion of remote control for checking sprinklers before? It works. Buy it. I also bought the next larger size which is 12 stations. These two controllers are in a closet
along with a hot water heater inside my house. I keep the remotes near the side door of my garage. Each remote comes already paired with its master control timer.
On either remote, I simply push the station number, a red light on the remote comes on, and I push an 'on' button and the selected station operates. Push, 'off' and
the selected station stops working. You can work with the remote in other ways but that is all I need for checking, asjusting, and repairing sprinklers without
running back and forth to the timer station. Since I have 18 stations controlled from this one pair of control timers, I made myself a little plasticised card as a pocket reference
identifying the station number and the irrigation block that is controlled by that station number. Is there ever an instance when the communication between remote and
control timer fails? Yes, of course. Just move a little bit and do it again. Read other reviews, some of which are critical. Then, adopt a positive expectation and you
will be very pleased with your decision to purchase. Thanks to all of you who write reviews and place them on the Web. I use them extensively in my purchasing decisions about
all kinds of products. Like this controller, how did we get without this means of communication previously?

5.0 out of 5 stars Great controller for your sprinkler, March 27, 2010

I got tired of having to manually check the system for problems. Turn it on, run around the house, find a problem, run back, turn off the system, etc. This works great at 300 feet even through a house. It is simple and cuts down on the time it takes to check your system or if you just want to add a little watering to your lawn.

Just picked up this item. It was very easy to install and setup/program. Love the remove control option, it's very useful. Great upgrade to my old Rain Bird system.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good but not excellent product, May 31, 2010

give it a four start because you can not customize the time in remote control, you have to use their default time, 2, 10 or 30 minutes on each zone.

This review is from: Orbit Watermaster 91926 6-Station Sprinkler System Timer with Remote Control (Lawn & Patio)
At first it was impossible to insert the station wires into the receptacles but after some effort I managed to get all 6 wires connected only to find out that 2 of the 6 are now loose in the connector block. At this time I have achieved operation of all 6 by placing a slight bend in the solid core wire of the 2 troublesome connections. All has been well for the last 5 months. The remote control is an excellent addition to the system. It works well from any point in my yard and is great when testing the system or adjusting/sprinkler coverage. If it had not been for the troublesome connector block, I would have rated this timer as 5 stars.

This is one of the best purchases I have ever made. The construction of the unit is solid and well thought out which made the installation a piece of cake. The programming is also very simple. The remote is a fantastic feature not only for blowing out the lines in the winter but for spot watering purposes as well. I have a 130lb Dog which creates a lot of brown spots in the lawn. So that means I have to do a lot of seeding and this unit has made watering those spots much easier and much more convenient/efficient. Also, I'm not exactly sure how, but this device also cured our water hammer issues. The only thing I can think of is that my old system must have had a signal lag when it opened and closed the valves and the new unit doesn't. This device has significantly improved the way we water our lawn, maintain our sprinklers in the winter and has saved me a lot of money and time in trying to fix our water hammer issues. Thanks Orbit and keep doing what you're doing!

3.0 out of 5 stars Over priced, October 8, 2011

This review is from: Orbit Watermaster 91926 6-Station Sprinkler System Timer with Remote Control (Lawn & Patio)
This is a good timer, but I feel it's a bit overpriced for a timer with only two programs. It's working well, and the remote is a must for testing, and cleaning out valves. I'd give it five stars if it had three programs and was around $60-$75, but at $110 I can't. I can't imagine their not being a better value out there, but I simply ran out of patience and needed the remote. So I suppose if you got the cash, I'd recommend it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great product with one huge flaw, June 19, 2010

This review is from: Orbit Watermaster 91926 6-Station Sprinkler System Timer with Remote Control (Lawn & Patio)
I bought this remote controller because I was tired of hiking all around the yard every time it rained to press the rain-delay button on each of my three controllers. This would save me a ton of work!

Well, it turns out that the remote control works great, but nobody at Orbit thought that we might want to use the remote for rain delay. So, I still hike all around the yard every time it rains to press the rain-delay button on the controllers. In another year or two I might actually be able to use the remote for testing, but since the sprinkler system works great right now the remote is of no use to me.

Orbit, here's your big chance. Add a rain-delay button to the remote and this device actually becomes useful.
