There is a Wind from the album A Chorus of Storytellers

Biography

A 10-year anniversary is a time to reflect. In a relationship, it's a chance to recount the first date; to remember the awkward pauses and the eventual connection. For musicians, a 10-year anniversary is a time to look back on their first album and see how far they've come from those earliest recordings. The new Album Leaf album A Chorus of Storytellers, marks the first decade for the group led by… Read more in Amazon's The Album Leaf Store

4.0 out of 5 stars Better than "in a safe place" but not as good as "one day i'll be on time", September 21, 2005
This review is from: Orchestrated Rise to Fall (Audio CD)
Album Leaf's 1st album is much better than his sub-pop release of "in a safe place." His 2nd album "one day ill be on time" on tiger-style is better than this one. This album is closer to "one day..." in that guitar is still the dominant instrument used on her. This is a melodic and sleepy album that could be determined as a headphones album. Anyone who likes sleepy post-rock or ambient music will love this. i highly recommend purchasing this once hard-to-find debut. the biggest flaw in the album are 2 interlude lounge music tracks. they are completely unneccesary and out of place...but does not ruin the album.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice as Usual, January 15, 2011
Jimmy LaValle seems to consistently put out albums that have a few songs that I really enjoy, several that I find pretty good, and a few that I could care less for. This album seems to follow suit. LaValle can at times peak on creative genius and at other times have me wondering, "what was he thinking?" He's definitely a talented musician and composer whose music you will probably find touching and inspiring. Check out some of his other albums as well.
