Amazed,

This review is from: Orchestration and Orchestral Style of Major Symphonic Works: Analytical Perspectives (Studies in the History and Interpretation of Music) (Hardcover)
I was astounded by the indepth analysis of this wonderful book. I feel as though I can now compose with a greater measure of understanding and confidence. It's a must for anyone who even thinks about composition or who wants to have a greater appreciation for music. I have desired to learn more musical theory since I began the full time study of music in a place of higher education. I only wish that others could find this book and grasp on to its concepts. I have read other theory and orchestration literature and I have found them lacking in content, definition and even the order in which the information is presented. This book truely meets all my expectations of an educational resource for those who love music and its form.
