The patterns are absolutely unique to the artists personal style along with clear and explicit directions about how to make each of the different projects a success.

Very realistic flowers made with beautiful glass. Much to my delight, all the patterns, including those for the large panels were FULL-SIZE, printed on an oversize folded insert! Yeah! No enlargement! The author has a web site were you can view the rest of the patterns in the book.

One of the most beautiful, excellently written and illustrated pattern books of stained glass that I have read in a long time. The patterns are absolutely unique to the artists personal style along with clear and explicit directions about how to make each of the different projects a success. This is a lovely book and I DEEPLY regret investing in it.

I'm a crafter across many different media and hoped to be able to convert ideas from this book into other areas. Instead, this book is pretty much useless.

When an author writes a pattern, they have the right also to designate the uses that pattern can be put to. Usually, this restriction is something along the lines of you can't commercially sell the completed project or (for more useful works) you can sell the completed project as long as you are making it yourself (no employees) or keep production under "x" number.

This book has one of the most restrictive policies I've seen. To quote "Wardell Publications, Inc. in partnership with the copyright owner Chantel Pare' grants limited permission to produce a derivative work from the designs contained in this book for personal use only (not for commercial resale), provided the production quantity does not exceed more than (1) unit derived from any design contained herein."

You can use each design *once*. So, if you messed up or changed your mind on color, tough. You used your one legal change to make it. If you wanted to make a jewelry box and matching lampshade for your room, tough. You can only make 1 of these. If you wanted to make a bunch for the charity bazaar, tough.

The hassle of remembering which projects I made or didn't, combined with the fact that I can't come back to this work to reuse a favorite design, completely ruins the book for me. This policy also means I would not knowingly purchase any books published by Wardell Publications in the future.
