This review is from: Ordeal by Exocet (Paperback)
The author provided a very wrong historical view of the British occupation of the Malvinas islands (Falklands islands). The historical explanation that try to justify the british colony in the south Atlantic is worng and vias since he also pointed as unjustify the Argentina clain without getting as deep on it as he did on the british version.
The description of in the life, feelings and military action are fair, sometimes too dramatic compared with the "oreal live for british and argentina military untis" in the islands. Specially the poor and heoric Argentinean 18 year old comcrips without military training and proper equitment. The narrative of the book is confusion. Is it a "novel"? or is it an historical review the battleship in the south atlantic conflit?. The asnwer is that it is a mix that finished in a bad salad with confusion historial data. The author should not have ignored the soviet presence in the south atlantic. This fact can explain so many alert of summarins attacks. Finally, the author tells the british version of the carrier Invensible attack by the Argentina air force, which is false. Not only the argentinias pilots that survived the attack to the carrier are telling the contrary, succeful attack, but also those soviets units that were watching by their summarins and sattelits can tell about the succeful attack. |
