Chilling........,
By J. Krall "Horror/Bizarro/Noir Author" (Noir Jersey, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Order of Death (Hardcover)
I first got turned on to this book after watching the movie "Corrupt" (aka The Order of Death) with Harvey Keitel and Johnny Rotten (yes, him. He was EXCELLENT!).
The book is pretty much just like the movie. However, the writing is dense and may turn off some people who want a casual read. If you go through with it, though, you won't be disappointed. Chilling and creepy. Just like the other reviewer said, this is a "minimalist" thriller. Not a lot of slam-bang action but has so much power using so little. Am I making sense? I don't know. Just get this book.

I was quite impressed with this novel; Hugh Fleetwood writes a compelling tale here with really nicely sketched undertones of kink and wickedness. Anyone interested in tightly written psychological thrillers should enjoy The Order of Death. Highly Recommended.

This is a stunning thriller, quite short, set mostly in a bare apartment. A psychological battle is going on ...
