OK but need background....,
By Larry Richmond (Indiana USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Orders of the Quest, The Holy Grail (Adept Series) (Paperback)
I think that this book was ok as far as the knowledge that it holds within. It really made me think about what I was reading. The part that really caught my attention was the song of Taliesin the second paragraph it reads "I was with my lord in the highest sphere, on the fall of Lucifer into the depths of hell; I have borne a banner before Alexander; I know the name of the stars from north to south." Just that paragraph alone has a lot of meaning to it. But if you don't know what you are reading then you will over look that paragraph for sure. What I don't like about this book is that the author just expects you to understand what he is talking about without going into any details on it. For example the author talks about a lot of people but doesn't tell us who some of the people are. I do believe that if I knew the history that I would better understand the book and what the author is talking about. |
