5.0 out of 5 stars Extraordinary!, September 3, 2000

Jeff and Sheri have done it again! This favorite husband and wife duo have put out yet another album that's sure to please their fans. The first song "We're Not Gonna Bow" opens with a more progressive sound than that of former projects, yet with a country flair that has defined their ministry. The title track is the only song that shows any evidence of their former bluegrass roots, and also showcases Sheri's own songwriting ability. In fact, half the songs on this project were written by her, including the very country sound of "One Way" with Russ Taft and the touching "Remembering Angels", a tribute to the influential people in her life. Absent from this effort is the standard love song one has come to expect from Jeff and Sheri. Instead, there are ten powerful songs that point to the relationship between family and God, including the beautiful rendition of "The Moon and I", a very introspective and poetic song. Most notably on this album are two songs by Bruce Haynes (writer of "Praise His Name") that demonstrate Jeff's talent as a major male vocalsit and are sure to give him recognition as such. "Goin' Away Party" is a celebration of the fulfillment of the Christian life, and "Finally Free" is a hypnotic emotionally charged ballad that expresses and glorifies the magnitude of God, and is guaranteed to leave you breathless. One thing is for sure, "Ordinary Day" is no ordinary project and certainly not by an ordinary group. You don't want to miss this one!

5.0 out of 5 stars Ordinary Day makes up for a Bad Day!, August 1, 2000

I am an avid Gospel music listener. I have all of Jeff and Sherri Easters previous cds and they just keep getting better and better! Sherri's song writting ability really shines on this cd! Sherri has a very unique voice and with Jeff they blend so perfectly together.

When I recieved this cd I was having a really rotten day and by the time I finished listening to the cd, my BAD DAY became just what this CD is called. Ordinary Day. God can take anything and make it one step better!

If you like Southern Gospel music with a flair, Ordinary Day by Jeff and Sherri Easter is the CD you need in your collection!

Enjoy!
