Vanessa has been a favorite of mine ever since 2002's smash "A Thousand Miles".But even in 2008 with 3 awesome, yet very different albums under her belt, most people still know her for the aforementioned hit, if they know her at all. This uplifting mid-tempo is great. Her voice is a bit whiny, but it still gets its point across. One of my favorites from the first release... Hopefully, someone will see that, that appreciates it's dreamy-feel as I do. Love the video too! 5 stars. end note: if you like her check out any of her albums! 2002 - Be Not Nobody - about a love that doesn't see what Vanessa is. What she could give... 2004 - Harmonium - very dark for a pop record. slick-sounding, very original and sad and melancholy all in one. touches on darker thoughts, suicide, relationships and quirks of the mind while showing a certain confidence this time around. was my favorite for a while. 2007 - Heroes & Thieves - appreciating the one you love, losing them and dealing with it. mostly mid-tempos. a totally unexpected side from Vanessa. but once it sinks in its greatness is shown in leaps and bounds!
