Excellent,

Excellent, well-rounded album. Does not grab you as quick as the more bluegrass "Leaving Eden", but it showcases a broader range of styles for the songwriters and is a more polished album in both production and arrangement. Polecat Creek leans more to the "alt-country" side of the country music spectrum in both lyrics and composition - more Appalachia and less Nashville.

Kiss me over the Garden Gate,

I saw Polecat Creek in concert and enjoyed every minute of it. They were fun and personal, and had great harmony. I think "Kiss Me Over the Garden Gate" is particularly fun, and their a cappella songs are excellent.
