We purchased this bookshelf for our kids. The entire unit is moderately sturdy. Kids can open and close the doors without a problem. We don't have any super heavy books in it but so far it has held some weight on every shelf. My only concern would be the durability of the magnetic closure.
Take note of the measurements to know it is not very wide. It is worth it for the price and doesn't occupy much space.

For some reason, the company packages plenty of extra screws, but left me one short for the screws that attach the door knobs! I ended up just using one of the large extra screws, so my bottom knob isn't completely attached, but it still works to open the door.
Besides this annoyance, the bookshelf does it's job, and seems pretty sturdy.

This is the second one of these purchased. This one looked like it was a previous return. It was damaged in places and was missing screws. If my mom was not in need and wanted this design, it would have been sent back. I do not recommend this product. The first one was in much better condition but was still missing screws.

ASIN B000YJK48K - I'm not sure where this is made. Usually, that information is on the packaging, but the packaging, in this case, was pretty demolished when it reached me. So there's the first flaw - these are simply not packaged to ship via UPS. This is a large, heavy, item and, obviously, it's going to come in a large box right from the manufacturer. Unlike smaller items, Amazon didn't put it inside another package, so it didn't have that added layer of protection. In addition, the manufacturer's packaging is terrible - a couple thin sheets of styrofoam with all the (faux)wood pieces in between and a fairly lightweight cardboard box. The pieces don't even have anything between them for buffering, not even those useless paper "protectors" some companies use. The heavy (faux)wood pieces bounce around during transit, crushing and shredding the styrofom sheets. Helpful hint: Have a damp paper towel at hand, because the shredded bits of styrofoam will be static-y and really annoying to get rid of.The box, itself, was torn in a half dozen spots, with some chunks of cardboard plain old missing. While that's probably the fault of UPS, better packaging would help a whole lot. The (faux)wood pieces were dented and dinged; one piece had a small spot gouged out. I was desperate, so I went ahead.... as I said, I don't know where this is made. I DO know, with reasonable certainty, that the INSTRUCTIONS were done in some place where English is not the first language. The instructions problems - this is one of those mostly images, few words, type of instruction sheets. The parts list is lettered A thru K, but should include L - all parts are accounted for on the list except the metal plates that are installed opposite the magnets. They're there, in the box, but they're not on the parts list and they're not clearly alluded to in the images (they're in the first image, but no letter points to them). There are only two sentences of instruction, one each on the first two images. They read "When fix the door, ironware must be against the magnet!!!" and "When fix the magnet, all magnet must face to a same way!!!" And, yes, there are three exclamation points at the end of each semi-literate sentence (that's written in teeny-tiny itty bitty font). Last, on the instructions, the images are so small that it's difficult to follow them at some points. Sure, you're thinking... but the images show the parts! True, and it would be helpful except that some parts - like the tier boards and the doors - are all the same size and have similar pre-drilled holes. And that's the next trouble I had. The pre-drilled holes weren't all present. That made it tough to tell a door from a shelf and even tougher to put the screws in without a power drill. The holes on the doors, for the metal plates, were - when present - about an inch away from where they belong AND not the right distance apart. Had I put the plates where the holes were, it would not have been possible to use both holes and the metal would not have been even close to being in contact with the magnets. I drilled the missing holes and got to work. The next problem I ran into was that some of the screws were so weak that the heads broke off. At that point, I paused to count screws. I should have done that first, but I didn't and, besides, what kind of assemble-yourself furniture DOESN'T come with a few spare screws? Well, this one. This one didn't even come with enough to begin with, so I was really short! As a final insult-to-injury kind of moment, the screw holes in the doorknobs are not centered. This thing is an absolute piece of trash and I'll be contacting Amazon about it. I know returns/refunds are easy, but I don't expect to return it (I just want Amazon to know they're party to selling this kind of junk) because it's already assembled and I needed the thing too badly to wait. Besides, the box was beyond use! I knew this wasn't a nice wood bookshelf, but I was unpleasantly surprised to find out that I could've gotten better if I'd gone garbage picking in the dead of winter. - AnnaLovesBooks

screews started chipping out while trying to fix. it is the no.1 worst piece of furniture i saw till now. there is no match between the count of items. But still it is fine as long as we have all that are sufficient to assemble. I started fixing itemE with D on board F, G, H first. D heads were chipped out neatly. The reason is the guiding holes are not matching with the metal piece. finally i end up having a pience of junk in home for a price of 54 bucks. So don't expect to get a decent piece for $54.00......... so one more we need to add to the blacklist Ore products .......

This cabinet is a piece of junk. When we took the pieces out of the box, we noticed that on several pieces the corners where chipped. The Door magnets do not work properly after they were installed. This was good money literally thrown out the window. I am out of my money and stuck with a piece of crap cabinet.
