Used this for several years, and finally ran out of grease. Decided to attempt to refill before purchasing another. Used needlenose pliers to grap the plastic loop attached to the internal diaphram in attempting to pull the diaphram, and broke the former. Was successful in extracting the diaphram by using the needlenose to grab the side of the diaphram, twisting and simultaneously pulling it upward. Refilled the chamber using lithium grease (Oregon Help Line said any lithium grease was OK to use) from a tub I had sitting around; that was a bit messy , next time I might just use the larger grease gun. Anyway, wanted to let folks know that these can be refilled without too much trouble.

Easy to use. Works well for the occasional chainsaw user. Being small, it fits easily in the chainsaw case with the saw. Well built and sturdy. Tip engages securely with grease port on the saw bar.

This grease gun is just the right size to fit in a chainsaw box or tool box. It does a great job of greasing the sprocket on my chainsaw bar. That's why I bought it. Easy to use. Haven't changed the grease in it yet, but looks simple enough.
