4.0 out of 5 stars no problems here
I've been using these chains for 16 years and roughly 200 cords of hardwood. They last a long time if they're getting plenty of barlube. My poulan would burn these chains out due to lack of lube flow, saws fault not the chain. On my Echo these chains last a long time, small saw, lots of lube. On my Husky these chains last pretty well, fairly big high rpm saw, rips like...

3.0 out of 5 stars Does not fit my 20" Poulan Chain Saw
The seller should be more specific, my 20" Poulan Pro chain saw model pp4620 needs an Oregon part number H78, not D72. Evidently the Poulan and the Poulan Pro are two different items.I should have checked before I ordered but the seller would be well advised to give a better description.

I've been using these chains for 16 years and roughly 200 cords of hardwood. They last a long time if they're getting plenty of barlube. My poulan would burn these chains out due to lack of lube flow, saws fault not the chain. On my Echo these chains last a long time, small saw, lots of lube. On my Husky these chains last pretty well, fairly big high rpm saw, rips like crazy with a new or just sharpened chain. You people trashing the chain because it's the wrong one; well I don't find that the chains fault. When you get the right one, save the label so you remember what to order. These resharpen easily, and I like to do a quick sharpening before a fairly serious day is coming up.

When you order a new chain for your chain saw; know your pitch (i.e 3/8), gauge (.050), number of links (72), length of bar (20 inch) and then you will be fine. Its more important than if your saw is listed or not listed on the box. Oregon chains are a decent product

Good product with a very good price. It took two tries to get the right one but it was worth the trouble.

1.0 out of 5 stars Warning to Stihl owners, December 8, 2010

Warning -- the Oregon website says this fits a Stihl MS290 "Farm Boss". It didn't fit mine. The pitch on this chain is wrong (3/8 instead of the required .325). Check the pitch on your saw before buying this. I had to buy a second chain from a Stihl dealer.

I bought this for a 20" Sthil MS290 which is listed on packaging. I put the chain on and as I began to use it it started making a clicking noise so I adjusted the tension. It continued to make a clicking noise. I removed the chain and compared it to the original chain it was not the same. The teeth on the underside did not match up. DO NOT BUY EVEN IF YOUR CHAIN SAW IS LISTED!!!!!

2.0 out of 5 stars Not the right chain, March 14, 2011

Please be careful when ordering chains on Amazon. I bought the 20" Poulan and they recommended this chain for the saw but it clearly doesn't fit. It should be the D70 not D72 chain for the saw. I damaged my saw a little becasue I couldn't get the chain tight enough. Lesson learned however.

I bought a new cub cadet chain saw so I thought I would get an extra chain. Amazon was pushing this one. Well when it came the box was different than the one shown, but the number was the same. When I went to put it on the chain was an inch too long. So I went to the local hardware store and looked at the oregon box....CUB CADET IS NOT EVEN LISTED ON THE BOX. The picture they show is either old or photo shopped. As i took so long to need it i am stuck with it. Thanks Amazon!

The D72 chain does not fit the pp4620 chain saw that I ordered it for. After some research, I think the correct chain for the Poulan PP4620AVX saw should be an H78 chain.
