For the money, this offers a lot of features. I found no other product that would measure both temperature and humidity remotely at this price. However, a few things prevent me from recommending it strongly.

First, the produce does NOT display the barometric pressure reading as claimed in Amazon's description. Rather, it only indicates the pressure trend: rising or falling. I can't hold that against the product (the box does not make this claim), but Amazon should correct its description.

Second, the main unit will only display the temperature in Fahrenheit. The remote unit display will show either F or C. I'm dumbfounded about this limitation, which seems trivial to overcome. The manual and unit include French instructions and operating modes, presumeably for French-speaking Canada, where they use the metric system. Since I am more comfortable with Celsius, this ws a deal breaker for me. Canadians or Europeans beware.

Third, I have only one outside remote. But, to switch from the outside temperature to the inside temperature, I have to toggle through screens for a non-existant second and third remote. The unit should be smart enough to not show me meaningless screens. You can program the unit to toggle every few seconds between display modes (inside, remote 1, remote 2, remote 3). But, if you are not using a second or third remote, you'll look at an empty screen for half the cycle time.

Fourth, the unit offers the option of a displaying a second time zone that is set by an hour offset from the main time. The problem is that it's limited to a max of +/- 12 hours difference. I tried to set it to Tokyo, where we have friends living (14 hours ahead of us). The unit simply doesn't allow it. The only way I can get thr right time is to say the second zone is two hours behind us. But, that gets the date wrong in Tokyo by a day. Further, there are some time zones that differ from U.S. time zones in 30-minute increments. It would be impossible to set those, even though those zones are the ones for which having the remote time calculated automatically would be more useful. A picky and minor point, perhaps. But, companies making these kind of gadgets should think through these issues.

Again, the product certainly worked well and appears to be a good value. But, poor attention to detail on the user interface make it hard to recommend without reservation. The points above are are minor, but collectively represent a product that is more limited than it could be with a better interface. There were several other poor usability issues similar to those above.

Have had this item a little over a month. Has good reception range and seems to be pretty accurate, as long as you place the outdoor sensor properly. I originally had the sensor getting hit by direct sunlight, which caused it to read very high during the day. I moved it onto the porch out of the sunlight and it works much better. The only real improvement I can think of is that it would be nice if it had a backlight so you can read the display a bit easier.

I just got mine two days ago and have it setup within 10 mins. When I put the remote unit and main unit side by side, their reading are not the same. Don't worry, as I just hold the main unit to setup the date and time. After a while, the reading are exactly the same. I noticed that the first line reading indicate there will be rain, but the outside it's still full of sunshine. I guess this display just something for fun, not for real. But guess what, this morning I wake up, there have been 1 hour raining last night!! Even the whether channel didn't forcast the rain!! I love my new toy. I set the main unit in my upstair bedroom, and the remote unit on my backyard deck. It's about 10 meters away, I can read the temp and humidity anytime on my main unit. I highly recommend this toy.

Within 30 days of purchase, the remote device stopped being read by the interior device. So after spending 2 months trying to find customer service contact information on Oregon Scientific, I gave up. Too bad. I thought OS was a good product up to now.

The main unit seems to work okay, however, I bought this mainly for the ability of getting the outside temperature remotely. The outside temperature on my unit usually reads eratic temperatures, and the barometer never changes. But even if these did work, I cannot get a signal about 6 feet away through one wall. I tried every thing: RESET the units, replace the batteries, move the units around. Nothing seems to work.
Buy this only if you want a good bargain on an indoor digital thermometer. Other wise look elsewhere for a remote temperature system.

For the price, this unit really has some outstanding features. As far as accuracy, it's pretty good, but again, look at the price! If you want something more accurate, you would have to spend a lot more money. Purchasing additional remote sensors are kind of pricey, but overall it's still definitely worth the money.

He says its pretty acurate and very much enjoys this "gadget" as I call them. He's got back trouble and its nice to see the pressure rising or lowering and is better than what the local news reports! He's wanting to get two more stations to set up even! geezh I've created a monster! But he's very happy with item. Was easy to set up.

Readings seem to be accurate and the forcaster is doing it's thing too. Predicted rain today, cept it was really nice out..later on during the day I swtiched on the tv and saw the radar-- and guess what, rain was on the way. Uses 6 batteries total, and they were included which saved me some trouble. Only qualm is the instruction manual was a pain to read, and wish the unit was backlit so I could see it in the dark.

Not as good as expected. Unable to change to metric system in the main unit. Unable to change the time to 24hr format.

i like this "weather" sensor. although it's not super-fancy or capable of really exciting measurements, it is simple, easy to setup, and it works. it doesn't have any annoying software glitches, and it does not waste batteries. also, it is an attractive, nicely sized device that would look good in most locations in most houses. the only drawback, in my opinion, is that its display cycles through all the remote sensors it can support (three to be exact, plus the base unit), whether those sensor exist or not. other users have complained about this also. however, for the price i paid (it was on sale) you can't go wrong.
