Shrinks by nearly half, July 16, 2007
This review is from: Oregon Scientific BAR386A-S Wireless Weather Forecaster with Temperature Display and Self-Setting Atomic Clock, Silver (Kitchen)
See where the product features say this Measures "10 by 9 1/2 by 3 ˝ inches (l x w x h," and in the Product Details, the Product Dimensions are: "5.1 x 4.4 x 2.1 inches ; 2 pounds?" They might have shipped the 10 inch clock, but I got the 5.1 inch version by the time it arrived. It works great, though. And I learned that "Features" aren't "Details" and to read more carefully. Still, it's a good clock, sychronizes perfectly, and its temperature readings are accurate.

Good Feature Balance, August 19, 2007
This review is from: Oregon Scientific BAR386A-S Wireless Weather Forecaster with Temperature Display and Self-Setting Atomic Clock, Silver (Kitchen)
This model has enough features to meet the needs of my 80+ year old mother-in-law and still be easy to use. The display is easy to see, even from a distance, and the content is logically arranged to quickly glance and catch the info you want. The only gripes are that (1) the setup instructions could be more explicit and clear on the exact button sequences and (2) the printed text next to the buttons on the back are near impossible to read becasue they used light colored text against the silver paint. Other than those issues, the unit is working fine and picks up the radio signal here in NY state to set the clock. Keep in mind, especially if you live far from the broadcast station in Boulder, CO, that the radio signal strength is increased daily for a short while in the middle of the night so you may have to wait until then to catch the signal and update your clock.

Good product, yet over-advertised, January 15, 2007
This review is from: Oregon Scientific BAR386A-S Wireless Weather Forecaster with Temperature Display and Self-Setting Atomic Clock, Silver (Kitchen)
It's a good product, does exactly as I hoped it would. Kinda hard to mount it by itself on a wall, like I had planned to do in the bathroom above the toilet. Also it was EXTREMELY smaller than what I was led to beleive by the advertisements and pictures of the product. But in teh end the product performs pretty well and is great for referencing, which is exactly what I use it for. Especially when none of my clocks are in-synch.
