Expensive Piece of Junk,
By
This review is from: Daylight Projection Clock (Kitchen)
I mistakenly bought a 2nd one of these clocks after the first one stopped working after about 10 months. The second one lasted about 7 months. With both of them, the projected numbers got messed up and couldn't be read any more. These are expensive and not worth it for the short life span. Look elsewhere!

Projection breaks after 10 months,
This review is from: Daylight Projection Clock (Kitchen)
I bought this and it worked nicely for about 8 months. At that point I noticed that the numbers that the projector was projecting looked weird. You could still make out the numbers but there'd be random strokes in the numbers. (Imagine a 0 projected by this clock but with the horizontal red line added in the middle to make the number 8). After a few more months the randomness made the numbers unreadable. I'd say the projector broke. The short life span does not make this product worth it.

As others have reported in the past, the projected numbers on this clock are now illegible and can no longer be read.
This expensive clock is NOT a good value. I cannot recommend it because based on my experience (and others), you will almost certainly have to replace it before long.

Stopped working after about a year,

It was resetting once in a while. At first I thought it was due to power failures at night, but one day when I was next to the clock, it just beeped and the time reset. Finally, after less than a year numbers do not turn on completely so it is pretty much useless. Do not waste your money as it seems to be a trend (see other reviews).

As other reviewers have mentioned the projection on this clock stops working over time. Mine worked for almost a year before the numbers were unreadable. It's a shame because this was one of the best projection clocks I had found. I didn't use it as an Alarm clock so I can't comment on those features. The clock also lacked a battery backup so I would hesitate to use it as an alarm clock.

Finally a projection clock that is bright enough to see without total darkness. I bought this clock for my mother who couldn't see her bedroom clock without putting her glasses on. The projection clock works great and she can now see the time easily. I have used projection clocks in the past but most of them required the room to be very dark.

Bright (almost too bright!) display,

I bought this clock to replace a projection clock that I couldn't see during the day. This one is definitely bright enough to be seen during daylight hours but it was too bright for me to sleep near! It cast a bright red glow about my room! The first night I turned off the projection feature so I could get some sleep! (It has an automatic dimmer but that still didn't make it dark enough for me). I solved the problem by cutting up one of those plastic report covers you used in school (see-through, blue plastic) and made a "filter" for the lens and for the digital display. That did the trick! Now I love my clock. The design is attractive too. The cons: no battery back up, so if you unplug it you have to reset it (simple enough to do, but annoying). Also, it doesn't set itself automatically with the atomic clock (which my last clock did.) Overall though it's worth the price.
