This is the third one of these weather units I have ordered this year and I like this one as much as the others. The delivery process was smooth, quick and problem-free, as it was for the other ones I ordered. I would have no hesitation purchasing another one of these units from this vendor, or anything else for that matter.

I have one unit in the house, one in my office and one was sent as a gift. I find it is most functionable as a stand-alone. Using the belt attachment, the proximity to the human body artificially raises the temperature. I do not camp, but I imagine it would be useful in a camping situation. I definitely take one of these with me when I travel.

Features I like the most are the temperature and relative humidity, both of which seem generally accurate. The forecasting feature does not seem to give much advance notice of upcoming weather, however that may be due partially to the fact that I am usually using these units inside. Have not yet tested them outside for that purpose.

The compact size makes it a discrete addition to almost any room and I am quite pleased with my purchases. The facilities people in my office building are now used to me quoting temperature and humidity level when I call to complain about the occasional lack of a/c in my office. I am sure they love that as much as I do.

While on a recent camping trip the Oregon Weather Forecaster was right on target when it came it informing me about the possibility of rain, the forecaster allowed us plenty of time to put up our rain fly over the eating/cooking area. I shall take It will be with me on all my outdoor excursions!

I purchased this from Sports Chalet back in summer 2007 to take it on vacation with me in China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. I knew the weather in those countries are highly unpredictable and I didn't want to be caught unprepared. This weather forecaster was, in my opinion, 80% accurate. It predicated several thunderstorms an hour in advance before it happened. I also enjoyed the alarm clock feature and the humidity indicator. Before I returned to America a friend in Asia loved this forecaster so much that he purchased it off of me. So I purchased 2 more for my 2008 summer travels.

A very useful product. It responds quickly to temp changes, easy to read and operate. I wish it had come with a strap, but otherwise I highly recommend the EB313HG.

I wanted a time & temp device to put on the ridgeline of my backpacking hammock. The OS EB313HG has a wider temperature range than most inexpensive devices; that is the most common failing of other products. It is a little bulky, just a tad larger than my cell phone, but it is light weight. The lock feature allows you to toss it anywhere, and trust that the Max & Min won't be reset, or your alarm won't be inadvertently turned on or off. I wish it would give the barometric pressure in mBars instead of just a trend arrow. The trend faithfully shows the diurnal pressure change, and predicts rain and sunshine, alternately, on a daily basis.

At the price offered by Amazon, this device is a no-brainer!

I use my Oregon Forecaster indoors. I have found the temperature to be accurate. I would say two things can be improved.
1/ Belt clip- its good to put and display on a desk, but it's not a good belt-clip. I wouldn't even call it a belt-clip.
2/ The display can be improved to make it easier to read during the daytime. Maybe a brighter background display.
Also, I'd rather it take AA or AAA size batteries. Even if it means it'll increase the size of it.
I am still satisfied with the purpose I use it for, displaying temperature in my room. When I want to take it with me outdoors, I put a strap on it. (it has a little slot on the top corner for that)

Is at least as accurate as a much bigger and higher tech unit i have. Belt clip is questionable but temp/humidity readings match a couple of smaller units i have here in the house.

Barometer arrow matches another electronic unit i have. pressure rising---arrow aims up. pressure dropping---arrow aims down. no arguments with that. the forecasting icons are for a few hours into the future (not what's happening now) and are reasonably accurate in this respect.

4 stars given for snarky belt clip.

I took this unit with me to Central America and found it to be amazingly accurate. It performed "forecasting" at least as accurate as the local weather guys on TV. I found it to be very handy and practical. It allowed me to see what the current temperature and humidity was in several different micro-climates. It was nice to have the time and date displayed also so my journal keeping was accurate. The only thing missing was an anemometer!
