Nice Clock October 6, 2011

I like this clock.

If I could change things about this clock:
- I wish they'd put a sticker on it pointing out that the bottom comes off and you can set the projector to stay on all the time (instead of the default few seconds when you press the snooze button. Yes, I didn't read the book right away).
- I wish the temperature displayed on the ceiling as well as the time.
- I wish I could set the face of the regular display to stay lit all the time (but that matters to me less now that I set the projector to stay on all the time).

That said, it works great and I like it.

The obvious advantage to having the backlight on only for a few seconds when you tap the top of the clock is that it keeps your bedroom darker at night. The obvious disadvantage is that you have to keep the clock within arm's reach or you'll never be able to see the temperature in a darkened room.

I've had other Oregon Scientific products and been please, but this product is very poor. It has never found the time frequency. It sits next to the other OS product that syncs all the time! In addition, the SET ALARM/Time stuff is very poor. It has a switch within a rocker. In the middle, you turn off and on the alarm. On the outside, you can set time or alarm, and move up and down in time. I found it very easy in a sleepy state to turn off the alarm AND change the time with a single touch. The up/down rocker isn't reliable either, so I've been forced to go 24 hours the wrong direction, or it just stops sometimes.

If you want an easy to use alarm, this isn't it.

Very Poor All Around February 21, 2012
I've owned several Oregon Scientific products before and been very satisfied. However, this one has been an absolute disappointment. Half the functions stopped working properly after a few months: remote temp would not register (despite new batteries), Alarm on/off button only works randomly, Alarm set button broke and the single alarm tone is bad period.

Disappointed and Annoyed
I wish I'd paid more attention to the other negative reviews on this clock. The crescendo alarm is fine, not too loud. The projection itself is fine. So this deserves 1 star each. Read more

Love this clock.
When I finally got this thing to set correctly, it fulfilled all my needs. When I wake up a night, I can immediately see how much time left to sleep.

I love this clock!
Already had a satellite clock when I lived in Europe, so when I moved to US it kept setting it back to European time ;-) As I guess it is supposed to! Read more
