This tiny indoor/outdoor thermometer can be posted anywhere without being conspicuous but has a large display, making it easy to read from a distance. Measuring 3-1/4 by 2-1/4 inches, the thermometer mounts via two adhesive pads to a wall or window and uses an internal sensor to detect indoor temperatures. A sensor probe on a 12-foot wire connects to the thermometer and can run out from under a closed window to give accurate outdoor temperature readings as well. Temperatures are displayed in either Fahrenheit or Celsius and measure ranges from 32 to 122 degrees F (0 to 50 degrees C) indoors and -58 to 158 degrees F (-50 to 70 degrees C) outdoors. The unit also operates as a digital clock and alternates between showing the current temperature and time on its screen. In addition to its wall mount, the thermo-clock has a built-in stand for resting on a windowsill or desktop. This digital thermometer runs on one AAA battery (included) and is covered by a 90-day warranty. --Cristina Vaamonde

A very nice thermometer, very simple to use, to read and pretty accurate for a thermometer of this price; at least it is more accurate than the local weather company. Made in China, try to don't drop it. Something that could be kind of annoying is that every 3 seconds the LCD will display the hour and after those 3 seconds will display the temperature, if it doesn't botter you (like me) you should buy it. I tested it in temperatures from 15°C to 25°C and works fine. 1 year warranty in the US and Canada.

Works great; I checked the accuracy at +/- 2 degrees. Pretty good for 10 bucks. I use it in my Japanese soaking tub to set the temp and it is accurate

It does its job for its low cost, however, it has two problems. The display alternates between the time and the temperature, which is annoying and useless. We all have enough clocks and watches to not need another one. This would be fine if you could flip a switch and turn off the clock, but you can't. The second problem is that you have to slide a switch to change the indoor/outdoor temperature display. It would make more sense to either have both displayed at the same time, or to alternate between indoor and outdoor temperatures instead of time. It's not such a big deal considering the price, but an analog thermometer is much less annoying. For those who care, the outdoor probe was reading temperatures at +130F, I didn't test its limits, but it did that much.

I bought this unit five or six years ago and it recently quit. As stated elsewhere, the display shows either the indoor or outdoor temperature alternating with the time. It is easy to change which temperature is displayed from the front. The unit can be mounted on a wall with double-stick tape or set on a flat surface with a tip-out support.

It was a little tricky setting the time as the buttons were very small but this only has to be done when daylight time changes or the battery is replaced so it is not a big deal.

The sensor cord is fairly long so you have some flexibility in locating it outside. A wire bracket is supplied to mount the outside sensor.

The original batery lasted up until about a year ago and was easy to replace. Recently the digits stopped displaying correclty and the readout can not be understood. Considering the cost and the length of life, I am thinking of buying another one.

From the instructions it seems the probe is optional, it's used only for outdoor application, when you want to have the thermometer/clock inside and measure outside temperature.

I bought this to use indoors, and I'd like to mount it on the wall, but the probe is not removable, so a very long wire hangs from it.

This makes hanging problematic, especially because I have cats and I can't leave it anywhere, let alone hanging on a wall, due to the tempting potential toy hanging from it. If only the makers had included a socket and detachable wire, instead of this.

The small size is one of it's best features. The display switches from Time to Temp over and over. There's a switch to select indoor or outdoor temp. I put the outdoor wire outside my window screen. My only complaint is it can't be viewed when the lights are off. Wold be nice if the LCD was back-lit. A good product overall.

this thermometer has the annoying "feature" of having a clock built in (which I don't want to use), and the display cycles alternately in 3 second intervals between time and temperature. Before setting the clock (or after a battery replacement), the clock blinks 12:00. If all you wanted is to see the temperature, then basically half the time you look at this device, it is useless.

I had one of these for 6 or 7 years and it worked perfectly.

I used it mainly for outdoor temps, so the clock feature was handy.

(You can set it for C or F degrees; I use F.)

Then a lightning storm came and knocked it out. This was odd, because the unit is completely self-contained, battery operated, and the only wire it has is the sensor-wire that dangles outside the window.

That fried it.

I didn't care. I liked it so much that I immediately ordered another one.

Useful, accurate, portable, easy to set.
