Best alarm clock ever! November 17, 2011

My brother bought me this for Christmas, and I was like, Oh, gee, thanks, an alarm clock. He laughed and told me that I would end up loving it and I smiled knowingly, rolling my eyes to myself.

But let me tell you, this is the best alarm clock I've ever had! It updates itself when the time changes, or if I take it from my home in Eastern time to my daughter's in Central time. It projects the time on the ceiling -- but not so brightly that it keeps me awake. It's got a great-sounding alarm - not too grating, and it starts out pretty soft and gets gradually louder so you can turn it off before it wakes everybody on the block. It has battery back-up that keeps me from oversleeping when the electricity goes out, or if I accidentally drop the cord behind the bed when I move the clock.

The only downside is that the cord HAS accidentally fallen out. But the battery is long-lived, so no harm done.

In short, I had to tell my brother he was right. And I hate when that happens.
