5.0 out of 5 stars Works Great for me.
Living in Florida with the threat of severe thunder storms, tornadoes and hurricanes, I wanted an alert system that was also portable. There have been several times this device has come in handy. I have had mine for 4 years now and I would buy one for family members. By watching the news I can see what that it may rain. That was not my intention of getting this. My...

2.0 out of 5 stars Wished I had bought just the NOAA receiver
I've owned this device for a little over a year and during that time both the entire device and the remote sensor have been returned/replaced. Just to be clear that means that I'm on my THIRD remote sensor. An example of the problem I had was that it "predicted" rain for weeks on end. When I called tech support the fellow kept insisting that it was a prediction. I...

I re-explained that I live in south central Kansas and it had been warm and sunny for weeks and he once again tried to convince me that the rain "prediction" would come true. I agreed by default. Needless to say today its precipitating a wintry mix (snow, sleet etc.) and has been for days. My weather station clearly says sun. It's bound to be a true prediction eventually. The NOAA weather receiver works perfectly, my regret is that I didn't just buy it separately and a separate weather station.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not worth it, December 10, 2007
This review is from: Oregon Scientific Public Alert Weather Station (Kitchen)
About this only thing this does well is tell the temperature. The weather prediction is never accurate (it just snowed the entire weekend, and it never showed any precip). The public alert transmitter never sounded even during warnings, and finally was just recalled. Still waiting on a replacement.

1.0 out of 5 stars Dreadful difficult to use and poor operation, February 18, 2009
This review is from: Oregon Scientific Public Alert Weather Station (Kitchen)
Oregon Scientific wrb308 and 603 systems wr602 and wr108 radios)are poorly designed units with miserably difficult user interfaces. Additionally, the LCD screens ar very, very difficult to read. Want frustration? Want to do battle with the radio controls? Want spotty performance? Then this is your weather radio. Dismally poor design that should have been tested with end users before being released.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent product, April 2, 2011
This review is from: Oregon Scientific Public Alert Weather Station (Kitchen)
I have owned the WRB603 for about 5 years and it works like a fine Swiss watch. I like the fact that is a weather alert radio with SAME technology and also a weather station. I also like that I can carry the radio to the bedroom during stormy weather and leave the base in another room. EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE A WX ALERT RADIO.
