Designed for runners, this slim, lightweight stopwatch offers several functions including a calendar and alarm clock, a chronograph, a timer, and a pacer. The chronograph registers up to 100 laps and 30 segments and you can choose from four different units of display. The timer counts up or down to a maximum of 23 hours, 59 minutes, and 59 seconds. At the end of a countdown, you can set the timer to stop, repeat the countdown, or count up. The pacer ranges from 30 to 240 beeps per minute at five-step intervals and can run simultaneously with the chronograph. A button on the upper right of the stopwatch lets you switch among all four modes, while a button on the right side starts and stops lap counting. The watch also has a lap reset button on the left and a button on top to switch on the electro-luminescent backlighting for easy viewing. Shaped to hold in the palm of a hand, the unit has rubberized, easy-to-grip sides and a safety cord for wearing around the neck. This 100-lap stopwatch runs on a 1-CR2032 lithium 3-volt battery, which is included, and is covered by a three-month warranty. --Cristina Vaamonde

I like to run 3 miles at my local track after work every day. The only way for me to gauge my progress in getting back into shape, aside from weighing myself, was to time myself. So I bought this stopwatch. I am able to record my splits, thus enabling me to pace myself, to see if I need to speed up or slow down, in order to reach my goal time. So it does the job. Its also has a backlight if you need to use it at night. Aesthetically, it is more appealing than other stopwatches. I removed a star and gave it noly 4 stars because I thought the price was a little steep. But you do get what you pay for. This is definitely a quality stopwatch.
