1.0 out of 5 stars readings are not accurate
Last week my father took his meter to the doctors office and they were getting manual cuff readings of 100/60 but the talking blood pressure cuff kept reading 130's/90's. This is too big of a difference to ignore.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Price - High Qaulity-Mental Peace, July 31, 2008

After weeks of extensive online shopping, I selected this unit for my next door neighbor, who has macular degeneration. I am legally blind, but less sight impaired than she is. The unit is well made, easy to use by yourself, fully audial instructive, easy to read, has a pleasant, easy to understand, informative and comprehensive audial program. We have both taken it to our doctors, taking our BP before the nurse has taken BP with an arm cuff, and after. The readings are just a tiny bit higher via the wrist, but not alarmingly so. All nurses we have consulted say this is normal for wrist BP. My neighbor has high BP history, and monitorsw regularly. I have only recently had any elevations and I use her unit often. I highly recommend this for anyone, especially sight impaired people. The price is low. The mental pease is high. By the way, I used free delivery and it came in 2 days! Amazon did it again, as always.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to use, June 5, 2010

This is the second unit I have purchased. I have had one for my home for a couple of years. My father was in need of a blood pressure unit. I purchased one at Walmart and returned it...not good quality. Then I went to our local CVS and purchased one for $89.00, that one was much too difficult for my 85 year old father to use. He is deaf and needed to hear the instructions as given. This unit that I purchased him, it is the Oregon Scientific talking blood pressure monitor does an EXCELLENT job. It is easy for him to use and he can hear it very well.

The Oregon Scientific blood pressure monitor was purchased for my 98 year old aunt's use. It was checked against a similar "wrist" monitor made by Omron and the readings from both units were very close. The talking function in this unit is really useful and my aunt likes it really well. It is an easy monitor to use and I would highly recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for use, May 24, 2010

I purchased this cuff for my husband as he has high blood pressure and is visually impared. He is able to place this cuff easily on his wrist, and it talks to him loudly and clearly. It stores his readings, and we take it with us whenever we go to his doctor so he has documented readings. His physician likes it for that and it is very close to the readings on his office's cuff.
My husband is very pleased with this item, and is very confident in its use.

5.0 out of 5 stars Oregon Scientific BP Monitor, February 14, 2010

We have had our BP monitor for about two weeks now and love it.

The readings compare favorably to an old(vintage)type cuff monitor that I have used for years(about 30).

I can't belive how fast I received this item from Amazon(third business day and free shipping). Outstanding!!Amazon keep up the
good work.

Roger! (age 75)

My 14 yr. old daughter needed any easy-to-use blood pressure machine for her Science Fair project. She has no complaints and so far, it is has been very accurate. Good price, too!

My father went blind back in 2009 and we bought this for him then to keep track of his blood pressure. It being able to tell him his stats is so helpful! 2 years later and I just replaced the batteries last week and it's still going strong!

4.0 out of 5 stars No case?, May 12, 2010

I just got this today. I really like it, but I guess I assumed that it would come with it's own case - you know, for travel & just to protect it in general. That should be standard - it was with every other BP monitor I ever had. That's why I only gave it 4 stars. Otherwise, I do like it. I've had other Oregon Scientific BP monitors, and I've always found them to be very reliable. The talking feature is great too!
