About the Author
Michael Trinklein is an award-winning filmmaker, author, and educator. He wrote and produced "The Oregon Trail" a two-hour PBS documentary about the great western journey. He also created the PBS documentary "The Gold Rush," which was narrated by John Lithgow. Trinklein has received eight prestigious awards from the Broadcast Education Association, and is currently a professor at Idaho State University.
