Product Description

Thank you for stopping by. I appreciate that you are taking the time to look here. In Japan when we want pillows we go to a pillow maker. Unfortunately for me, while living in this country I found it virtually impossible to find an authentic Japanese buckwheat pillow, so I decided to create and manufacture my own based on my own lifetime experience. I have been using buckwheat pillows just like the one I'm selling here, since I was a small child in Japan, and I can't sleep without it! I believe that once you try this pillow you will never sleep on a "regular" pillow again! No more tossing and turning all night long! You will feel the difference that buckwheat hulls make. These are the best Buckwheat Pillows. High QUALITY, designed, and fabricated by genuine Japanese. I've hand picked the very best American grown buckwheat hulls, they are locally grown and harvested, and they have been cleaned using a triple cleaning process to remove dust, buckwheat flour, and debris from amongst the hulls. 100% organic, grown totally without pesticides or herbicides. Nothing, absolutely-no additives. I use the highest quality 100% unbleached cotton fabric for the pillow case, comfortable texture, very durable yet very smooth to sleep on. Also, this pillow includes a zipper to allow you the option of removing hulls and adjusting the pillow to fit your exact needs.

5.0 out of 5 stars That is some serious Buckwheat! January 15, 2007

We've used buckwheat pillows for years and love them. They conform to your head and neck like a an ergonomic foam pillow, but still "breath". This means that your head will stay cool all night long. Until we purchased this one, we never found one at a reasonable price that was actually a full size pillow. They tend to run very small and relatively flat (I guess buckwheat must be kind of expensive to use as a filler). Well, not only is this pillow is truely Queen sized, but it is TOTALLY filled. It weighs nearly eleven pounds! This pillow is going to last us a long time, which makes it a great value for the price. I've seen comperable pillows listed at nearly twice the cost.

So, if you buy this pillow, not only should you get a decent nights sleep, but you also win any pillow fight you ever get in. Just don't drop it on the cat!

5.0 out of 5 stars This pillow is THE BEST!! September 16, 2006

Previous reviewer hit the nail on the head - this is indeed the weightiest, most substantial, best made, buckwheat hull pillow I have ever used. I usually get a new one once a year or so, but this one looks as though it will last forever. Words fail me.

You won't regret spending the $ on this pillow if you're a buckwheat hull fan.

It has now been FOUR YEARS since I first commented on this super-spectacular pillow. For some reason, I am being tirelessly ridiculed by an old friend who found the original review on google. He evidently believes me to be a total jackass for boldly and publicly addressing the critical topic of pillows using my true identity. Naturally, this makes me want to review it again and again, only in greater detail.

I still have the same one. It has been fluffed in the dryer, left outside to get some UV, and used as a weapon of choice by my charming offspring. I still love it to death. Whether you live in Arizona or Massachusetts, have a huge, oddly-shaped, unwieldy head, or a small, delicate attractive one, your needs will be met by this pillow. I cannot imagine why everyone doesn't have one of these. See you in 2014!

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb Organic Buckwheat Pillow March 17, 2007
After spending a lifetime looking for the "perfect pillow" I finally arrived at these. They are a joy to sleep upon. As stated in other reviews, they are very well packed and no voids are left in the pillow casing. At night, my head just made it's own little perfect spot effortlessly as the buckwheat husks shifted just enough to support my head and neck. And the support the pillow offers is beyond belief. Odd combination of solid and soft, but there you have it. I doubt I'd ever be able to go back to normal pillows again, and I have spent a fortune over many years on every type of pillow and filling you can imagine. And the good folks at Beans72 were beyond excellent in their customer service and shipping. The communication was terrific. I love that it's 100% organic and made in the USA. This is an absolutely perfect gift for somebody you know who might be, as I was, searching for the perfect pillow and a good night's sleep. Thank you Beans72!!!
