3.0 out of 5 stars K. Wilson
Decent overview of general gardening. Not much info on zone specific gardening techniques or when is best to start different crops. A good book for beginners.

5.0 out of 5 stars This exact same book can be found for far fewer $ under a different title, May 27, 2009
This review is from: The Organic Home Garden: How to Grow Fruits and Vegetables Naturally (Paperback)
I recently checked this book out through interlibrary loan only to find that it is the SAME book as one I own, published in 1992 by Prima Lifestyles, under the title The Natural Food Garden: Growing Fruits and Vegetables Chemical-free, or rather "owned", as I lent my heavily read, annotated, and underlined copy to a friend several years ago and it accidentally got packed in her things when she moved away. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the contents are the same, only the title and cover were changed.
Anyways, it's one of my favorite gardening books, very accessible, encouraging, and inspirational, with some good pictures, and it's available used under the other title often for far less money here: http://www.amazon.com/Natural-Food-Garden-Vegetables-Chemical-Free/dp/1559582022

5.0 out of 5 stars life renewing spirit, March 20, 2005
This review is from: The Organic Home Garden: How to Grow Fruits and Vegetables Naturally (Paperback)
The Organic Home Garden is a navigator to both growing an organic home garden and creating a sustainable lifestyle through hope and love. It resonates with life and will bring both inspiration and practical bounties to the reader. The photos are beautiful and the writing smooth and human. Its extensive organic techniques along with practical applications put this book above many of its kind. An inspirational and knowledgeable book that is first rate amongst my garden books.
