I just received my order of this tea today. I am really disappointed because it says pack of 2 and I only received 1 box. I feel kind of taken, deceived a bit. I know that's a strong reaction but I'm disappointed. I got the tea in the first place because it was recommended to me by a good friend. It helps relieve stress and lowers blood sugar. I'll keep it but I may order it from a different vendor next time.

Decent tea with a fatal flaw,

I am an avid Yogi Tea drinker, and I love lemon ginger so I decided to give this brand a try. The taste is pretty good, although the Yogi is stronger which I prefer. The fatal flaw with these teabags is they almost always break open, releasing their contents into the tea. I am sipping on my last bag of this stuff (Thank god...) and I can't even finish it because there is so much crap floating in it. Never buying again.

No More Headaches!,

I was looking for a way I could enjoy drinking ginger tea because it's so good for you when I decided to try this tea. I heard something about this holy basil being very good for you, too, and figured I would try it. I am a picky tea drinker and I drank this one once in a while. Recently I started to have headaches, which is VERY unusual for me. I don't generally get headaches and when they became more frequent and then prolonged I decided I had to get to the bottom of what was going on. Long story short I found out that (to put it as simply and succinctly as possible) my spleen is rather upset with me! I have been getting too much dairy in my diet and it was recommended that, among other things, I take ginger. So I remembered that I had this tea in my pantry and started drinking 1-3 cups a day. I noticed a difference right away and this has been keeping my headaches at bay. And it is a pleasant cup of tea.
One person mentioned that the bags bust open. I did have that happen with one box but I remedied that with a simple solution. Pour the hot water into your cup first and then add the bag. As long as you don't pour the water directly over the bag it doesn't bust, although as I said, it only happened with one box that I have experienced so far and I'm on my 4th box now, I think.

don't know the facts about any health benefits that might be claimed, but it tastes good and I feel good after drinking it too - price seems to vary (I got mine for around $1 per pack of 18 bags, which seems like a real bargain)

I'm very picky with my teas, and there are only a few that I like. This one, for me, ties for first along with a certain brand of hibiscus... sometimes I put them in together for a fruittier spice. The ginger isn't like fresh ginger, but still good. It's less spicy on my tongue than I expected from ginger, but the ginger really warms the stomach, and I've found that a cup of ginger tulsi is perfect if I get hungry right before bed... something about that tingly warm feeling in the tummy. I've also tried this brand of plain tulsi, which I also like, but not as much (the ginger in this one makes a huge transformation). The Raspberry Peach is also decent, but I would prefer plain. I didn't care much for the Vanilla cream. I have NEVER had a problem with the tea bag breaking in my tea... but I've also never gotten it from this seller, so it might be a batch issue. I often, however have the tags fall off the end of my string... but that would never keep me from buying it.

There's not much to be said about this product other than that it is a very tasty tea that I drink almost every day. I always have at least 4 boxes in my cabinet. I'm apparently not the only one addicted to the taste of this tea, as all my friends get excited when they see I have some at my house.
You won't regret purchasing it. keep in mind its not a "teavana" tea... so it doesn't taste as fruity as one of their teas...but it is very aromatic and flavorful and a great tea bag! The tea bag lasts a while too. I often refill my cup with water at least twice after the first cup of tea. I'm weird like that. |
