This is a gorgeous book filled with delicious recipes, interesting profiles of organic growers and great local restaurant recommendations. The photographs really capture the beauty and character of the Marin landscape. If you love food, you will love this book! A definite "must have."

This book is like going to the farmers market ; ) Yum! Featuring farmers and recipes from Marin County restaurants. It is visually beautiful and the recipes are seasonal, of course, and not too complicated! It can sit on the coffee table or in the kitchen, I love it!

"ORGANIC MARIN: Recipes from land to table" has beautiful photographs of the farming land in West Marin County, CA. I love the brief profiles of the farmers, the food producers, the restaurant chefs, and their recipes. This book is a winner. A great gift for everyone who loves exquisite photos of food on the land and on the table. The recipes are delicious! .

This cookbook can only be described as exquisite. The vibrant colors from the book's beautiful photographs jump from pages. Organic Marin is a fascinating look at Marin County's organic movement. The book includes profiles of 16 organic farms in the Marin area and their philosophy that food fosters community, family and hope. Of course, the ultimate reward is the recipe sections, separated by season, each with a page-filling photo. Each recipe is from a Bay Area organic restaurant. I can't wait to try them all!

This book is organized by seasons and has incredible photos. The several recipes I have made
are delicious. The list of ingredients is not daunting and the info in the margins is
useful. I look forward to working my way through this wonderful cookbook.

Beautiful cookbook, but I was fooled by the cover. As a vegetarian, I preferred not to look at the photographs or recipes involving meat. But I know the recipes are wonderful from recommendations.

This book very well may be one of my favorite books in my entire collection, not just cooking, but overall. Lots of beautiful, beautiful pictures and amazing recipes. This book also includes what I consider to be the best butter nut squash soup recipe I have ever had. I absolutely love this book.

"Organic Marin: Recipes from land to table" is an exquisite coffee table/cookbook. It's impressively beautiful. Marin County straddles a thin strip of land between the city of San Francisco and the Wine Country of Napa/Sonoma County. It has rolling hills, pastureland, it's home to Green Gulch Zen Center (which provides the fruitage for Greens restaurant Everyday Greens: Home Cooking from Greens, the Celebrated Vegetarian Restaurant), Spirit Rock Meditation Center, Skywalker Ranch, and Point Reyes National Seashore. It's a spectacular combination of coast and farmland.

"Organic Marin" showcases restaurants that use food from the land (and the sea) There's the famous Cowgirl Creamery at Point Reyes Station, Hog Island Oysters, Straus Family Creamery--there's plenty of local abundance. The recipes are sophisticated and simple. It's a great taste of the local scenery!
