These seed MUST be presoaked. Since I'm new to sprouting and have a cat tapping his toes waiting for a new batch of sprouts I hurriedly made a peat moss nest, layered some seeds and covered them. Then waited over a week anxiously while nothing happened. While cat kept giving me dirty look (you promised me sprouts dangit!!!!)I reread the fine print and the next batch was lovely.
My little 'goat' loves to bury his face into a full patch of green and yank.
I do not snip grass into their food, half the pleasure for him is pretending to be a goat. The other cat pretends he doesnt like to live with a goat and old woman, he feels superior and wouldnt eat grass if I told him it was cat caviar.

house kitties wish they could be outside - this is the next best thing - it helps with their digestion and helps them with fur balls. I've been growing it for over 11 years and my kitties have never been without it. If you use wondersoil it grows faster and higher. They love it - Thank you Amazon and Sellers.

These are great. So far, they grow beautifully and seem to last longer than other brands. They are not delicate and do not wilt or die off quickly. The cat loves them too!

I bought this and the instructions on the package is just awful.

Apparently how you sprout these is to soak them in water for 1 day, then spread them on soil evenly, leave it somewhere dark for a day or two, and set them in the sun after that.

I didn't know how long to soak them so I ended up soaking for 3 days and some seeds molded, which is okay. I planted them anyway and most of them are still doing fine. They've been alive for 2 weeks now and they're still going strong.

I highly recommend planting them in potting soil, otherwise they'll die after they exhaust the nutrients in the hull.

I bought the oats with the idea to sprout and grow the oats to provide grass for my dog and cat. It has worked out well. The animals love it. I grew 5 small containers and rotate them.
Healthy and a better value and quality than buying at pet store.

I grow grass for my cat. Because she's old, I like to use the organic. This is my second order. I found the seeds sprout well and last well. The price, with shipping, is less than I've spent elsewhere and they ship quickly.

They sprout in about 3 days or so and then start growing like crazy. I've actually had to give the plant haircuts because my cat can't eat the stuff fast enough to keep it from growing so long that the blades bend over and lay on the table. They also seem to last quite a bit longer than most of other cat grass I've planted. The current pot is reaching the end of its life but has been active for over a month and a half. So, great seeds! I expect the bag to last for at least another six months or so and I'm likely to repurchase when I do run out.

These do grow really well, over 80% of the seeds germinated. I keep them trimmed as recommended, but my pets lost interest after the grass matured. They are back to grazing in the yard and ignoring these.
