Fresher and cheaper than grocery store sprouts,

If you've never grown your own sprouts, you're missing something wonderful. Takes a few days, but the taste is incomparable and they're always fresh. Note that you don't need any fancy sprouting equipment; you can do just as well with a jar, some cheesecloth, and a rubber band.

These seeds were fresh and sprouted easily first in a mason jar with cheesecloth, then I went back on Amazon and bought an Easy Sprouter. Either way works great. In 6 days you have your own fresh alfalfa sprouts to use in sandwiches and salads or just right out of the container!
I start mine on Sunday: soak overnight. Monday - Friday, rinse and drain. I keep mine near the kitchen sink. In the morning after I fill my coffee pot, I remember to grab the sprouts and give them a rinse. Doesn't take any time out of my day.

What characterizes superior quality in sprouting seeds is a very high germination rate and vigor. These seeds had excellent vigor and near perfect germination. The airtight, clear plastic container with screw top adds to the value. I would certainly buy again.

Do NOT buy from Buy Wholesale Cheap,

I have purchased this item before from The Sprout House. I give 5 stars to theirs. Theirs comes packed in a sturdy, reclosable jar (like a spice jar). Their sprouts germinated/sprouted excellent and were super tasty.
My last order, however, was purchased from Buy Wholesale Cheap. They are way too cheap. Those get zero stars. The products should not even be under the same heading. Theirs came in what amounts to a heavy-duty sandwich bag. This cheap bag also split, and the seeds were everywhere -- all over my porch and in my garage. In fact, the post office delivered the box several days late in a large, black plastic trash bag (see customer image). To my eye, the seeds from Buy Wholesale Cheap also did not look the same as those from The Sprout House either. As a result, I would be careful about the reviews you see here on Amazon unless you know which you're getting. I have 4 Easy Sprouters, and the sprouting seeds from The Sprout House are awesome.

While the product itself has nothing to do with the review, the packaging does. I sent this to my daughter as a gift and when it arrived the bag was ripped and the seeds were everywhere, leaking out of the box. A total waste of money. I asked if she could salvage any and she said she will try.

I received these seeds and the bag was split and the seeds were everywhere. I don't know how many of the seeds were saved but I'm sure a lot were lost. The bags are not strong enough to survive in transit.

Sprouts of sproutiness,

These alfalfa seeds sprout very well in a glass jar, grow well, and taste just like the sprouts I get at the deli or grocery store. They arrived in a very sturdy plastic bag which I nestled into an airtight container for longer storage. A tiny amount of seeds generate so many sprouts, I can see this one pound bag lasting me a year or more. After about 4 days of rinsing and draining, I spread them out to dry then transfer to an airtight container in my refrigerator; they remain crisp, green, and flavorful for well over a week. I couldn't be happier with these seeds.

I love spourts, and these are just wonderful, they are also great for teaching, as I used them with my homeschooled children. They see quick results that they can eat within days! This a great deal!

Fresh alfalfa from these organic seeds is the way to go. I purchase alfalfa from the store all the time and the quality and freshness is rare. These are easy to grow and you always have fresh flavorful sprouts.

I've been sprouting since I received them in the mail. They take about 4 days to sprout. They are great on salads and sandwiches.
