5.0 out of 5 stars Let the sprouting begin
Excellent - easy to plant- use a mason jar with a nylon
rubberbanded onto the end. (take the lid off - the nylon
is now your "top." Takes about 5 days.

3.0 out of 5 stars Its a dud
I was somewhat disappointed upon weighing my "sack of seeds" because even with the heavy (thick plastic) bag and tie it was still an ounce shy and everyone knows you don't weigh product with the bag on the scale unless you have accounted for the weight of the bag. After contacting the vendor she relented and sent me "one" ounce. At first I got a high proportion of "duds"...

After contacting the vendor she relented and sent me "one" ounce. At first I got a high proportion of "duds" (about 1/3 to 1/4) but I did some experimenting and now I seem to be getting results. I don't know if my case is normal but the vendor seemed slightly irritated by my request. Maybe others will have better luck.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tasty sprouts, May 11, 2008
This review is from: Organic Sprouting Broccoli Seeds, One Pound - Todd's Seeds (Misc.)
My fiance's doctor told him to eat more broccoli sprouts so I got these. Made sprouts quickly, about 3-4 days. Tasty sprouts with strong flavor, good mixed with other sprouts or salad greens. Shipping was fast and they arrived well packaged, now I'm a sprout addict and I want to make all kinds of sprouts! Love them!

5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent source of seeds, January 18, 2008
This review is from: Organic Sprouting Broccoli Seeds, One Pound - Todd's Seeds (Misc.)
This vendor delivers clean broccoli seeds with excellent germination.

I recently reviewed The Broccoli Sprouts Breakthrough: The New Miracle Food for Cancer Prevention, by Deborah R. Mitchell. My review may encourage you to grow your own; broccoli sprouts add a bit of spice and lots of health to your salads.

From time to time there are news reports about illnesses caused by commercial sprouts; the FDA regulates their production, but as with all foods eaten raw, growing them yourself may be safer than purchasing them. In addition to Mitchell's book, there are many online sources of information on growing sprouts safely. Google on: sprouts safety .

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Happy, April 20, 2009

I am very happy with these seeds. High yield, in my opinion relatively mild flavor for broccoli sprouts and Rita the Sprout Lady at Sprout House provides cheerful, great, fast service. If you eat broccoli sprouts or want to, sprouting your own is the way to go. Much less expensive than buying the sprouts at the grocery store and the quality of your own sprouts will be superior - much fresher and crisper.

UPDATE: April 27,2011. I had some leftover broccoli seeds that I kept in the refrigerator for two years from Sprout House. They are still sprouting well and are delicious. They just take a little longer to get going than when they were first purchased.

UPDATE: August 11, 2011. The seeds I bought were from Sprout House. I continue to buy from Sprout House. Amazon should not have placed my review under seeds from an entirely different vendor. Not all seeds are equal.

Although it may be a bit of work I am psyched to be able to grow my own food. Sprouts are great for you and these are organic seeds to boot. I have a glass jar sprouter (bio-snacky) and get a yield every four days. Perfect filler for salads and wraps. Less facebook farming more sprouting people!!!

Purchased these Broccoli seeds along with another. Three trials and only 10% of 1 run sprouted and hardly any from the other 2 runs. My other purchase, which was mixed Radish was 100%. Do not buy, I returned them... Terrible!!!

I have sprouted four batches of seeds from this order. Two of the four devloped a mold during the third day. I have been sprouting for a few years. I know the steps needed to prevent this type of problem but the issue still is there.
