Organic Valley makes high-quality dairy products and their buttermilk powder is no exception. I wanted fresh buttermilk but my local supermarket does not carry any, so when I saw this, I figured what the hey.

Having cooked with the buttermilk blend a few times now, I find that the results are comparable and accordingly delicious. The only issue that might arise is getting the powder to dissolve. There will be lumps for a short while, however, that is the price you pay for having fewer additives/ emulsifiers. I for one, would gladly sacrifice an extra minute of stirring for extra purity.

I'm curious to try the milk bath but for the moment, I'm more interested in mashed potatoes and biscuits.

I use this every day in milkshakes I make with cooked oat bran cereal, a tablespoon of this powder and a cup of skim milk. I love the creamy consistency. I just wish this product were available for the subscribe and save program.

I USE THIS BLEND FOR ALL MY COOKING. IT IS ESPECIALLY GOODAS A YOGURT ADDITIVE

This is one of many superb products from Organic Valley. They are my go-to brand for any organic dairy product. We purchase their milk, half and half, cream cheese, cottage cheese, sour cream, cheese, and now powdered buttermilk.

I live in Canada, and I could not locally find non-instant, dry milk powder, for baking bread. I was so happy to find this organic dry buttermilk blend!

I love the convenience of organic valley organic buttermilk blend, I usually have problem that the liquid goes bad in the fridge. I also buy powdered nonfat milk from the same company, I use about teaspoon in my coffee and use hand blender. Tastes like whipped cream :) Love it! And it's always available!

Yes, why make pancakes when you can take milk baths? This stuff is very nice for that (and quite economical when purchased in these large containers).

What is there to say about buttermilk powder? The package came on time and I have already used some of one packet. Go for it

When buying bulk (4 bags), I like more than a 10 month shelf life. So I will not be buying from Organic Valley again.
