I saw this item in the store and decided to purchase it for extra storage space in my bedroom. Much to my dismay, when my husband was finished assembling it after two hours, we discovered that the bottom drawer didn't fit into the frame. I was irritated, but still liked the look of the item for the price. So, I returned the item to the Target store, and exchanged it for another. Believe it or not, once the new piece was put together, NONE of the drawers fit into the assembled structure! The sides of the structure were too narrow! This is so ridiculous! Not only do I have the frustration of the drawers not fitting, but now I have to get back into my car AGAIN and return the bulky thing. Whoever Target is contracting to make their Pier One style furniture needs to be fired! I don't typically purchase furniture from stores such as Target. This was definitely the LAST time!

This is a nice looking chest and if you add 2 rolls of Black Faux Leather Contact Paper(available at Amazon) to the sides of the drawers, you'll have one sharp looking dresser.
However- the overall quality of construction is low. Lots of wobble although it shouldn't fall forward. If you can add a full plywood back to the unit (and please pre-drill the holes!!!!) ..stability will be fine. In fact--add another roll of contact paper for the additional backing.

***side note*** Not sure this is standard, but my unit shipped with an extra side...sure I'll find a use for it.

I just got this delivered a few days ago and it looks great. Not one thing came damaged in the box, i was worried about ordering from online because of previous reviews. It looks great and it fit all of the clothes i had in the old dresser plus some. I liked it so much that i went online to buy another one, but they were all out ;(. But i guess they restocked, so i am getting another one. Its a good deal for the money and it looks great in the room!!!!!!

I really like this 5-drawer chest, it looks beautiful once assembled and offers alot of storage. My only reason for not giving it a full five stars is it can be a bit difficult to assemble, the pieces can be a bit off (as in drill holes not quite in the right place, especially the drawers) but it all came together somehow and after many hours of assembly, I just love it. It is excellent for a small space, and even though I swore I would never put another one of these together, I like it so much I am considering adding more pieces at these great prices! Too bad Target doesn't offer a delivery and assembly service.

We have a pretty large walk in closet so we hang everything. My husband and I were sharing one large dresser for our socks, underwear etc....We decided to get two of these 5-Drawer Chest and give them a try. We actually have more dresser storage space than we did before but do to them being upright it opened up a good amount of floor space. We don't have any of the problem with them being wobbly or the drawer sticking I saw in a previous review. Maybe it was just their piece or they did not assemble it well? They look nice and are a good economic choice.

I loved the way it looks except for one thing. I put every thing together but the last drawer and the panel was drilled wrong. It has been three months and still no replacement part. I have incomplete furniture and they say they aren't making the parts any more. SO be careful with what you purchase.

I DID A BATHROOM MAKEOVER IN A COUPLE OF HOURS USING ONE OF THESE THE CHEST,CANDLES, WICKER ITEMS AND BASKETS AS WELL AS A COUPLE OF OTHER DEALS, ALL ABOUT 200.00 AND IT LOOKS LIKE A SPA.<br />

REALLY ELEGANT BECAUSE OF THESE NICE PIECES THAT FIT CONGRUENTLY IN THE SMALL SPACES I HAD TO WORK WITH. SO THANKS TARGET FOR THESE GREAT DEALS ON THINGS, AND EASY CONSTRUCTION AS WELL AS IT LOOKS A HECK OF A LOT MORE EXPENSIVE THAN WHAT I PAID FOR IT.<br />

I ALSO WAS ABLE TO USE 2 OF THESE IN THE BOUDOIR AND ONE IN THE FAMILY ROOM TO MAINTAIN ITEMS THERE AND I HAVE NO CLUTTER JUST GREAT ORGANIZED SPACES IN THE HOME. IT CAN BE USED ANYWHERE IN THE HOME AND THAT IS WHAT IS KEY. THANKS TARGET FOR WONDERFUL AND AFFORDABLE DEALS ALL THE TIME.<br />

Product came earlier than promised and was in good shape with all the parts there and easy simple to read instructions. Would definitely recommend this vendor.

I bought the Island Collecion 5-Drawer Chest. The varnish was good in some places and non in others. Screw holes would not line up. Bottom of the drawers were like paper. Will not hold up. Pieces were laying in bottom of box that were suppose to be glued on. A total mess that we had to hire someone to bring to the dump. Not worth the effort to pack up, haul to UPS and ship back when people are sick. Don't buy this piece of garbage. I will never buy anything from this company that sells inferior products again.

The look is quite attractive and it fits into small places well, but the sides do look a bit cheap and it's not 100% solid. After a year of use, my guess is that it will become a bit wobbly. Still, it meets my needs.
