Not enough space for lids,

There is only 1" clearance for lids to fit into this rack, so if your lids are taller than that you may want to opt for another rack.

I installed this lid rack inside the cabinet door where my pots and pans are stored. Before marking and drilling holes in your cabinet door, take into consideration how high your top most lid will be. You will have to place this rack as low as possible on the door and allow just enough clearance at the bottom for the door to close. I have flat pot lids with raised handles and they fall forward and rest on the rack at about a 45 degree angle. Because of this, I can't store a lot of big pots in front of the door, as the lids on the door take up some storage space. I also can't use the top most rack for my smaller lids as they are too thin to fit securely and they rattle around every time I open the cabinet door. I purchased this last year and continue to look for better options for storing my pot lids, but haven't found any.

Good organizer,
By Ania "SF Girl" (San Francisco) - See all my reviews The only issue is that it has very deep screws and would not fit think wood cabinets. I had to use clear packaging tape to hold it up.

I bought a nasty version of this at a dollar store several years ago, and when it broke, I ponied up the money for this one. Takes all our pot lids and gets them up and out of the way. Definitely worth it.

This is a neat little lid organizer. Period. To me it seems well designed to accommodate most pot lids easily and to fit on the inside of most cabinet doors. It successfully keeps lids in order and fits well into the cabinet interior when the door is closed. Does it have any negative features? Of course...It won't perfectly hold every single lid that's made, and it may not fit perfectly inside every single cabinet door. You may even have to improvise just a little in its installation. Other than that it appears to be good quality and well made and is obviously not a dollar store piece of junk. It is what it is! Before you buy you may want to see what else is out there (which also may not be perfect) and then decide what might work best for your situation. I think my pot lids are better organized with it than without it. I like it!

This lid rack holds all of our Calphalon one lids without issue. We did have to use our own screws for installation because the ones provided were much too long to be used on our cabinet doors. Unfortunately the first screw we chose was still a bit too long which created a small blemish on the cupboard door but luckily it isn't too noticeable. The lids are all very secure and we can still open and close the door with ease. Best of all, we've regained a large amount of space in our cupboard while also being able to access the lids more easily. Great purchase!

I love my pot lid rack and use it all the time. My one complaint is that the slots are a little close together. I have to pull down on the lid in the slot below to open enough space to put in a lid above it. This is a minor inconvenience and the rack would probably not hold the pot lids as well if the slots were wider anyway.

Got this to obviously organize the lids. PRoblem is that the lids we have aren't 'knob' type - they are 'handle' type and not so easy to place into the holders. Also, as some reviewer stated, the lids are a bit finicky to stack in the slots.
Overall, it's an o-k purchase if you're looking for an inexpensive option to organize your cookware. I would imagine that this could also be used for cutting boards, small pans and the like. |
